Jewels of Barcelona

Ugh, I was just looking through my photo album and realized that I had erased a few photos of my last day in Florence + first day in Barcelona. So the only photo I have of our wonderful hotel in Barcelona is the lobby. Eeps!
I have to say though, that the hotel Claudette chose was centrally located to the main streets of Barcelona, perfect for eating and for shopping! And speaking of shopping, here goes 🙂
I love antique jewellery. Which is exactly why I love the pieces that Urban Zone host Daphne Oseña Paez makes. She puts together the most incredible enamel pendants
with antique lockets, crosses, and even FOB seals. I love the way she styles the Daphne necklaces, which is the reason why they sell so well– the designer has excellent taste 🙂 🙂
So when we were in Barcelona and found a little antique shop that had some pieces of jewellery, we had to stop and take a look inside. And of course, I thought of Daphne— who’s still in Canada as I type this (I miss you, girl!!)

Just look at these magnificent pendants! They’re not small, by the way, so they make a pretty bold statement when worn all together.

The back part is made of enamel but has the stained glass effect when it’s placed against the light. It’s gorgeous!!!

This is a large pendant, and is beautiful and very intricately carved.

I’m so in love with this locket. It has a garnet center and is surrounded by rose cut diamonds.

I am telling you peeps, there is more than one reason to go back to Barcelona. It was food the other day, shoes yesterday, and today, jewelry! I can’t wait to go back. Viva Barcelona!!
