It’s a Friday! It’s Skirt Day :) *hehehe*

This has to be one of the most tiring weeks of 2010 for me so far, but it has been great 🙂 I found the time yesterday to go through parts of my closet and to weed out some of the pieces I no longer wore. I realized one thing– women will always complain that they have “nothing to wear” and yet have tons of stuff cramped in their closets. Such is true for me.
After my rummaging, I found a circa June 2009 tulip skirt made by Carmen Papa- Reyes of 8 & a Half. I had stashed this somewhere because I knew it was getting a wee bit too tight on me back then. I figured today, I should wear it one more time since it’s really hot (the short skirt makes it nice and breezy on the legs hahaha), and well, I should at least wear it one more time before I decide if it’s really too tight on me or not.
The problem was finding a “newish” black tee that would go nicely with it. I had so many black, non-descript tees before but they seem to have shrunk after overuse, or have faded in color. I could no longer find a nice, relatively new one.
And then I saw the button- down shirts I had bought in Kamiseta just a few weeks ago. I loved the floral print shirts they had (made from with Liberty of London fabrics) and thought maybe it would work. So this is the result of the mix of the 8 & a Half petal skirt, and Kamiseta shirt.

I honestly don’t know if it works together (I’m not known to make the wisest fashion decisions), but I’m going to have to wear it out anyway (because I’m tired of wearing jeans everyday– toooooo hotttt!!!!). I wore an old pair of Giordano Concepts patent oxfords.

So tell me what you think. Honest opinion.

Hmm… I think I will also have Carmen make me  a black tulip skirt… I love the front pleat and the style of the skirt, but I think a black would end up more versatile and easier to wear. Oh and haha maybe I’ll have it made in a slightly larger size (so I can eat when I wear the skirt hahaha).

Now the mini dilemma is what bag to carry with this outfit! Hmm….

Have a great Friday, everyone 🙂 And I’m off!

P.S. Someone asked about how to order my tulip skirt by Carmen Reyes of 8 & a Half— here’s her number: (+63917)539- 5658
