and then I guffawed out loud when I saw an infomercial on late night boobtube, selling this:
I swear, I had a serious *like 5 minutes* laugh when I saw grown men and women wearing this (as they advertised it). I mean, I’m sure I’d be a closet Snuggie user if I lived in a cold country, but I’d never, and I repeat, NEVER, let anyone know about it 😉 That said, NO, I did NOT buy this hahaha. I’m a sucker, but not THAT big a sucker just yet hahahaha.
Ok, now the lowdown: it’s just too embarrassing to be seen wearing this. I don’t think I’d even want my family seeing me wear this hahahaha. Yes, I saw that commercial with people wearing those Snuggies to a baseball game. I actually initially thought it was a graduation party (hahaha grad gowns!!!!). It was just soooooo funny!!!
On the side, I think it does look comfortable though. Maybe I should have gotten DH and DBs these for Christmas *guffaws*. I wonder if getting them these Snuggies for Christmas would get me disowned hahahahaha 😉
P.S. Moms for Moms’ Rea Harrow and fellow volunteers went to Laguna for distribution of relief goods while I was away. I want to share that website with photos with you all. OMG! Not the Snuggie! They even went one step further in Sydney and made a Slanket (bigger Snuggie!) Like you I actually guffawed when i saw these men and women advertising it looking like monks watching the footy (imagine they want you to wear it in public?!!?). At lunch one time with girlfriends, i brought up the Snuggie and was going to start my guffawing again until two of my friends admitted to having one. OMG?!?!?! I think my face that time said it all.
@rhee: hilarious story!!! I can’t believe you actually know someone who has a snuggie!! I nearly fell off my chair! Hahahahaha i wish i saw the look on your face– winner!!!! 🙂 you should ask them if they’re willing to have photos taken of them wearing it! Hahahaha 🙂
LOL at that infomercial. there’s a scene where the whole family was wearing snuggies while watching a baseball game at the park. ever heard of jackets?! this thing is all over the place at walgreens in manhattan though. hilarious!
at least they didn’t make one in white! that would look so KKK! hahahah… did you see how the commercial showed them wearing it at a baseball game? so embarrassing but hilarious!
Snuggie’s are GREAT!!! Here in Chicago they had a Snuggies Pub Crawl, everyone dressed in their snuggie and went bar hopping! It was a huge event! Snuggie even held a fashion show during New York’s Fashion Week last month.They even make sunggie for dogs!!! Try it and you’ll love it!!!! 😉
