Ok this is weird. My HK post yesterday is missing from my files. Blame it on blogger because I honestly don’t know where it went. *Sigh, Blogger, what happened?!?!*
Ugh. Anyway as I was saying yesterday, I nearly got left by the plane to Hong Kong because I had woken up late and couldn’t make it in time for check-in. I got to the counter late and the flight was already closed! But the airline supervisor magically appeared (like a genie in a bottle haha) and I was allowed to check- in 🙂 The nasty part was during immigration (thanks for the correction earlier– I was really too sleepy last night to bother checking what I typed out). There was this diminutive old lady who basically reprimanded me for being late, while allowing herself a lot of time to stamp my passport *slooooow*.
I was able to jump on the flight with Daphne and thankfully, we made it to Hong Kong 🙂 Yesterday was a fruitful one which ended with a meeting at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong. (Mandarin Oriental is a historic hotel in Hong Kong, as it was the very first hotel erected in Hong Kong Island in 1963. I highly recommend the hotel after having stayed here)!
Daphne and I ended at the Cantopop restaurant opening
Cantopop is located at the G/F The L-Place 139 Queens Road Central. Tel: (852) 2857- 2608 |
with Tim of Ogilvy & Mather and Geoff of Mandarin Oriental HK, along with the brilliant editors of Luxe City Guide (I have 2 of their pocket guides– VERY handy!)
Oh last night’s lost blog post also included photos of our dinner at Yung Kee. So let me repost 🙂 Can’t resist roasted goose (although we’re all ducked- out now hahaha. Duck overload!!)

Char Sieu. So pleasantly good. We were going to have suckling pig but Yung Kee ran out! |
Hong Kong is arguably the best city in the world to enjoy food. Last night was proof!
Will blog again in a bit *or maybe tomorrow since I’m so sleepy already* about how our day went today 🙂
