FUNDRAISER THANK YOUS + The Winner!

I would like to congratulate the winner of the Hermes Victoria auction for Fabella:

Ms. PT
, whose highest bid at Php 168,000, came in 3 minutes before the auction ended! Close call! Ms. PT was the highest bidder among the 88 bids that we received!! 🙂

Bidder Ms.IC who had been “furiously” (hehehe figurative) bidding on the bag missed the auction’s highest bid by Php 8,000!! *awwww*. Either ways, Ms. IC, thank you so much for believing in the cause 🙂 God bless!!!

CONGRATULATIONS, Ms. PT!!!

Ms. PT will get to take home the Hermes Victoria *sob.. bye bye!! haha… she’ll go to a good home :)* along with the following:

One unit of KABOOST, compliments of www.kaboostphilippines.com (Thank you!!)

One set of KAMISETA candy colored luggages *I SUPER love these luggages myself!!* (Thank you, the folks of Kamiseta!!)

Gift certificates worth Php 10,000 from a clothing retailer in Rockwell (donor wishes not to be named– but you know who you are: Thank you!!!)

Gift certificate from PEPPER LUNCH (Thank you Jeroen + Cecile!!)

ROOTOTE bag, compliments of http://roototephilippines.multiply.com (Thank you!!)

I would also like to thank the following peeps who have really played instrumental roles to get this Fabella fundraiser going! 🙂 The impact these people/ group left on many readers and other people made this whole fundraiser very successful!!
Chuvaness (you were simply brilliant and truly selfless!!)
Bryanboy (thanks so much for raising awareness + plugging the auction!)
Daphne O. Paez (thanks so much for pledging your support even if you had just given birth!)
Candy Dizon (thanks for also donating earrings for the fundraiser!)
Rockwell Power Plant Mall *Plant Magazine + Marketing team especially*
(thank you for your support with marketing, and for your donations in kind! P.S. I’m hoping your finance department will give us a favorable reply re: our bag auction sale proceeds!)

And all the other peeps who so graciously plugged this auction on their facebook/ twitter/ multiply accounts. THANK YOU!!!

VERY SPECIAL THANKS to these wonderfully kind souls who also donated and pledged money to help Fabella. I know it’s not that easy to be giving money to charity at a time like this (recession), so I want to really thank these people from the bottom of my heart for still wanting to give. It means a lot to me and I know, to Fabella. All these generous people wish not to be identified, so I just used their initials to also acknowledge their pledges.

*Oh and that’s not even including Cecile’s collected pledges!* YAY!!!! We have far exceeded the amount of money we had expected to collect for Fabella! 🙂 🙂

Pledges are still pouring in (including those who would like to give in kind– THANK YOU!!!!), so you’ll be seeing more acknowledgments and Thank You notes on this blog in the next few days 🙂

Thanks also to my friends CV and ML, who are my alternate chat buddies about Fabella at night while the rest of the world sleeps 😀

Lastly, I would again, like to thank my friend Tina Navarro of Ilaya Couture (our fellow Rockwell neighbor :D). Throughout the course of this auction, I have actually never gotten any kind of introduction from any of the other members of the Moms for Moms group (so I honestly really don’t even know who the other members are at all)– though I understand someone from that group had already contacted both Cecile and Daphne last week. From my end though, that person didn’t get in touch with me.

So really, if it really weren’t for Tina Navarro, I wouldn’t even have a link to Fabella. Tina, THANK YOU!!!

I will only be meeting this Moms group for the first time this coming Wednesday with Tina when we all meet with Cecile to discuss what we will be getting for Fabella with your most generous contributions and donations. Rest assured we will be posting all the expenses related to Fabella on my blog (as well as on Cecile’s) as we want to make sure to be transparent about your donations.

To all others, again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!! You have no idea how deeply grateful I really am! May God continue to bless you all for your sincerity, kindness, and willingness to help others who need it most!! This has really been quite an experience, a very, very memorable one. And hopefully this is really just the start! I am so humbled.

x

  1. a big thank you to you, too, for initiating this (and for sacrificing a special bag!). it still gives me goosebumps every time i read about the plight of Fabella’s patients and babies. thank God for kind hearted souls like you who never forget to reach out to them even in these trying times.

  2. Gracie, DaphneOP: Thank you peeps. It’s nice to get pulled back to earth after being too selfish with material goods for a long time. *sigh*

Stylekit: I’ll definitely let you know. Thinking of doing PGH also soon– I understand they have an abused children’s ward, and this would also be a good cause. I’ll keep you posted. It’s nice to be able to find people who can share a vision to help these children. Basta anything about children, I’m in.

  3. Hi Ingrid!

I’m so SO sorry for not being able to get in touch with you last week! Please know that we are extremely grateful for what you did and it’s really gonna go a long way for sure. We can’t wait to meet you and thank you personally on Wednesday. May God bless you profusely!

  4. hi ingrid, this is pin. We met at TLC through Jules last week. Read about the good cause you’re putting together for Fabella and plan to do my own share for the cause. I intend to pledge the proceeds of my “baby shower” calendar from iprints.multiply.com from now until December to buy diapers. Should I coordinate with momsformoms? thanks!

  5. Dear Mrs T, Firstly congrats on your charity work. I’ve one question for you if you don’t mind. Since you’re a Birkin afficionado, I’d like to get a pro’s opinion whether is it true that some H stores in Europe would sometimes have a Birkin readily-available for purchase? I ask this because I’ll be going to London this September and would really want to get a B for myself.
Hope I’m not troubling you with this question.
    Thank you.

  6. OMG I am soooo jeliz BagHag. errrrrr. I wanted that bag! lol.

    Love your site.

    let’s exchange links!

  7. May I suggest you also look into other hospital wards? You don’t have to go through Ngos, Just get in touch with the hospitals straight

  8. Sheila: Welcome, see you tomorrow!

Aon: Yes, I actually plan to do that the next time :). I was told that going straight to hospitals make the experience all the more unforgettable.

    The Stylista: Thanks 😉 😉

nonajane: That’s true. Yes, sometimes they’d have birkins on the floor– if you get lucky 😉 You just might get real lucky in London!

Pin: Hi Pin!! Thanks so much for wanting to help! It really means a lot to me to hear that from you 🙂 By the way, I’m pleased to have met you on that Mommy Day Academy– hope you guys had a blast 😉 As for helping, I’m checking out PGH children’s ward this coming week, so hopefully I can ask for your help with them 🙂

  9. Mrs. T,

I would like to affirm you on such a generous and moving effort to let go of one of your precious (I guess) to benefit more people in need.

Indeed, one who has more has given more.

  10. Hi Mrs. T,
I just want to congratulate you for the successful auction. And your heart is truly in a good place. You truly walk the walk and talk the talk.
I can just roll my eyes at the moral nazi who always pop up now and again, that berate/criticize you for not doing/giving enough.
As for those bettys who made that callous ignorant comment na hindi naman totoong Hermes, I am sending you a mental clobbering with Mrs. T’s Birkin.
There’s no need to post this. I just wanted to say, job well done! Sa uulitin.
