From baghag to Fisherman, and back :)

Oh my goodness, I think I need a career change. Over the weekend, I decided to hang with the ILs in Tagaytay (I needed a rest and fresh air– asthma was getting worse), and found myself with a new hobby *cough career*. You see, at Tagaytay Highlands, you can actually go “fishing” in their ponds. And out of boredom, my kids and I decided, why not, right? I mean, the other people seem to be catching little fish here and there. Before you know it, I became OBSESSED with catching fish. I mean, hags, we were catching fish!!! I mean, those fishes were taking the bait and biting, and we were reeling it all in! Well, being the selfish person that I am, I decided to commandeer the fishing pole *Muwahaha Mrs.T INSISTED on going solo!!*. I had to “lube” the kids into taking the cable car *muwahahaha!!* just so they’d stop hanging onto the damn fishing pole (when I could’ve been handling it myself and with mucho finesse, thank you hahaha!). Two hours passed by and I had caught TWO DOZEN fishes. In the process, I sunburned my arms (from wrist to elbows). So if you see my super red arms, go ahead and laugh. But I’m telling you, I could give those professional fishermen a run for their livelihood. 😀 I make a pretty darn good one!! 🙂

So, fresh from that fishing weekend (yeah yeah it’s not really “fishing fishing”, but pssst I have bragging rights. I caught 26 fishes!!) , I wanted to look for bags that would be perfect for well, fishing *muwahaha ok didn’t I tell you this new hobby borders on serious obsession?* but halfway through looking at bags, I thought, I can’t quite make the cut as a fisherman unless I do raffia bags all the time, and we all know I can only love raffia so much 😀 Forget being a fisherman for good then– I can be little Miss fisherman every other weekend. But my aspirations remain– I wish to be thebaghag indefinitely 😀

Chloe Denim Logo Tote. This is perfect for that weekend. It’s made of denim, so dirt and all that can’t be so obvious. Two front zip pockets with large zipper pulls work well for when you need to take the phone out immediately as it rings (I hate small zipper pulls especially when you need to open your bag asap). Marc Jacobs Quilted bag with chain. A few days ago, two friends, one notable of a mention, MS (woohoo the bag goddess hehe) sent me an email about this very bag. Indeed, she was right in saying this bag looked too much like a Chanel classic! But hey hey hey, what say you all, for a price tag of £420 at brownsfashion.com, this can be yours 🙂 A tad small, but if you want a classic look that is Chanel inspired, only more “updated”, then this is a good bag. But personally, I would still stick to the original classic. A small Chanel quilted classic bag should cost a few hundred dollars more, but hey, it’s THE original 🙂

Quick health update: Nearly two weeks into this terrible coughing and wheezing, I went to see my ENT (a week after visiting my pulmo doc who told me my lungs were clear) who has informed me that I have some kind of a rhino-laryngo-pharyngeal infection (or something that sounds like that). Ok that was a mouthful but it sounds complicated. And apparently it IS. Sooo I’m not yet too well, hags 🙁 But not to worry, this ain’t contagious *muwahaha I had to say that out loud*. This whole thing stemmed from a series of allergies that just basically worsened because I didn’t treat it earlier with rest and proper medication (remember, I was just taking Nyquil? hahaha). Thanks for your concerns and sweet lil well wishes 🙂 I really appreciated them!

Gotta get sleep now. I promise to blog about more bags when I’m all better. I really feel under the weather lately 🙁
