Food Blog: Din Tai Fung, Taipei

When twitfriend @hungryalien mentioned “DTF” shortly after I mentioned Taipei on my tweet, I didn’t understand what he meant. Then he wrote, Din Tai Fung.

Bryan and I went to the Sogo Department Store branch. Luckily, we got there early because after our meal, the line was soooo looong.

I ordered wine chicken. I’ve had wine chicken at Crystal Jade in Hong Kong and loved it, and thought this would be a safe dish to order.

It did not disappoint at all. This was fantastic and I highly recommend this!

We ordered the famous Xiao Long Bao

Some Shrimp Siu Mai

Clear Chicken Soup for me, while Bryan ordered the Hot and Sour Soup

The soup was good, but don’t eat the chicken meat– it’s really dry.

And for dessert, I chose to order the Taro dumplings.

The dumplings looked soooo cute, I wanted to bring them home with me to share with my kids!  They were very, very good too! I vowed to come back to DTF with my kids and family.
Needless to say, we finished everything we ordered.  I wish someone would bring Din Tai Fung into Manila. It’s sooooo gooood!!!
