Months ago, my husband’s good friend Peter told me all about a dessert bar that he was helping a company conceptualize and open. I was excited about it because it became clear that we’ll have yet another place to go to with the kids and family, and of course with good friends.
Last December, while we were in San Francisco, we get a call from our friend that their place called Bar Dolci off Burgos Circle in Fort Bonifacio was finally open.
Such a shame then that we weren’t able to go because we were already flying out. Tonight, since I was feeling much better, my husband and I decided to visit the place with the kids. I was sooooooo glad I went!!

And here is why I will keep going back to Bar Dolci. And worrying about the added poundage later 🙂 *But Oh Lawrd, help me, it’s toooo good to resist!!!!*
I loooooove Thai Iced Tea, so when I saw that they had Thai tea gelato *The ONLY Thai tea gelato in the Philippines*, I HAD to have a few scoops of this *oh and I took home a small box of this too– for only Php 400!!*

I’m all about trying something new, and this gelato flavor– White Chocolate Wasabi, IS something new. A very unusual but surprisingly pleasant combination! I also took home this flavor 🙂

And yes, I know you’ll say you’ve had so many macarons from different dessert places throughout the country, but let me tell you this– NONE of those macarons compare to the ones at Bar Dolci. I’ve been privileged to have a taste of some of their flavors last July. I couldn’t resist taking a photo.
