F.A.M.E. + Tsumura + Etro

Ugh, I woke up with a terrible headache and stuffy nose and a nasty throat ache. Here we go again with my ailments. Am I not taking enough vitamins? *That’s what I get from not eating out enough hahaha, riiiight*

I went to F.A.M.E. at the World Trade Center yesterday– actually I only went to WTC to register and proceeded to the PICC where the fashion-accessories are. When I got there (I was early), I hit the Avatar booth first. Natch. At the side of the booth is this sheer white curtained area where last season’s accessories are on sale. 🙂 Yes, you can purchase them!

I noticed one lady browsing through the accessories already, and whaddayaknow, it’s Good Finds TV host Angel Jacob 🙂 Wow, what luck is this, I was shopping with the “shopping angel” herself hehe. And yes, we both hoarded! AngelJ and I have bumped into each other a number of times, but never really long enough to chat. Today was the day we finally got to chat a bit. Oh yeah, I got invaluable shopping tips from this woman 🙂 *woohoo Score!* Watch her show, Good Finds at the Lifestyle Network!

Avatar also has ruched sinamay bags and lots of nice resin and wood bangles for this season. We likey!

There were a lot of accessories on display that it gets overwhelming to weed out the good ones from the mediocre ones. By the end of the afternoon, everything began to look alike in my eyes *I swear this is true– sensory overload!*. I had to head back home after the walkabout. I was tired.

Oh but I have to blog about a past dinner get-together. Some peeps are missing my food shots *muwahaha really now?* A week or so ago, my old friends (when I say old, I mean we’ve known each other awhile. Not old old pfffft) BPT, NY, and I decided to “congregate” and have an early and hearty dinner at our fave restaurant, Tsumura, after not having done dinners together for sooo long.

The night promised to be so much fun because it was an all- girls affair, and we were really planning to “eat up”.

Trust me, we did. Two days after that night, I could still feel my belly sticking out of the hip band of my pants (hello muffin top).

BPT ordered the chutoro donburi (basically it’s vinegared rice topped with fatty tuna sashimi)

I ordered the sashimi set meal (which included miso soup, rice, yummy tofu) and an order of the spicytuna maki

NY ordered the rolled beef with enoki mushrooms and a spicytuna handroll (I was already so engrossed with my meal that I forgot to take individual photos– the beef rolls she ordered were in front of my meal)

After all the food came out, we realized that it was not really gonna be enough food. We really have good appetites at Tsumura, so there ya go. 🙂 We ordered the Sukiyaki and an order of salmon sashimi and hotategai sashimi (scallops). Sorry no more photos. I was too busy stuffing my face with food– seriously!

Anyway, enough food talk already. The more I talk about it, the hungrier I am getting 🙂 So here was my friend MC‘s bag which she carried when we met up 🙂 Yay, I’m so glad there is now a legion of Goyard fans!! 🙂

And I was looking through Etro bags and saw this piece. I realized one thing– I don’t really have any velvet satchels and this might do quite nicely.

Priced at US$1,270, the bag is made of rich green velvet, which works so well with gold hardware. I do wonder though, with that big round pushlock enclosure, would the bag be heavy? Nevertheless, it’s a pretty satchel to have. Available at Neiman Marcus.

P.S. And in jewellery news (Thanks to my DH, who now has an appreciation for diamonds hahaha *Woohoo a sign of things to come– for me??? cough hint!*): A huge 603 carat D- color diamond (named the Lesotho Promise) was found in the tiny southern African kingdom of Lesotho, making it the biggest rock in the century, and one of the largest in the world– 15th largest in fact. I have yet to see the photo of this rock, and when I do, I will post it here for us to all drool and ogle 🙂

  1. hey. thanks for the tip. i actually want a main supplier that can create these jewelry pieces. whereas all the designing will be done here in guam, then the production and manufacturing done in the philippines. it’s so hard to source out good places. i wonder where BryanBoy found his supplier for his narcisse line of jewelry items.

  2. oh with that green velvet bag. i dont really like it. it looks uneven expecially with 3 buckles on the right,, then only one on the left. hayy..and plus i heard velvet is hard to maintain.. hmm..
when do you plan to open up tresor?

  3. i saw that rock! roughly bigger than a golf ball! it’s huge! they’re going to cut it in heart shape! can’t wait to see the outcome!

  4. Tim the beads of Bryanboy are from this girl irene pineda but her work is not worth your money. She marks up so high as in grabe. You can get her stuff similar to it at givaway prices in divisoria.

  5. Tsumura is located at the 2nd floor of the 88 Corporate center bldg at Valero St, corner Sedeno in makati 🙂

Regarding Angel’s bag, she will probably try to make time to answer your question 🙂 I thought it looked like a Kooba, but I know I’m wrong 😀
