Current Obsession: Warby Parker Sunglasses

Today I want to talk about sunnies. Because over the last year, it seems that I have been growing this fascination over accumulating sunglasses. It seems that sunglasses are the only way to hide the dark circles under my eyes (think raccoon eyes proportion LOL). I know, I know, I need to sleep early. Believe me, my family has been on my case about my strange sleep- wake schedule and sleep habits for the longest time. Certain eye creams do help lighten and moisturize the area around the eyes but the quickest remedy has to be a cool pair of sunglasses 🙂
I’ve long gravitated toward Jackie O. oversized glasses thinking they fit my face more (my face is rather large, you see).  My preference went from very classic to extremely quirky. I don’t know how that happened but it did 🙂 It’s just like eye makeup to me– from something neutral to something different and unusual.
Here are some of my top picks of late, all from Warby Parker– all of them come with polarized lens and oh yes, they also have prescription glasses *with polarized lens* available! Read about the story of how this designer eyewear company, Warby Parker, was “born” here.
Tenley Midnight Blue is my current favorite– I am really liking the frame of these glasses. I’m so used to the Jackie O shaped glasses that it was refreshing to see something different on my face 🙂 And I loooooove blue (degradé too), so this pair is perfect!!!

Another pair which had caught my eye is the Mabel Gimlet Tortoise.

Nice frames, right? Very different from your average designer sunnies!

And if you thought the Mabel was already different, try this Suno x Warby Parker collaboration Wendel! Classic round frames but with Suno’s beautiful and bright print!

This is so perfect for summer, right? Love it!!

The Winston is another classic.

If you are looking for that perfect pair of either optical glasses or sunglasses, do check out the Spring / Summer 2012 collection of Warby Parker. There are so many choices that it’s difficult to just pick one 🙂

P.S. The super cool guys behind Warby Parker were featured on Bloomberg Business Week too.
