Coming CLEAN!

Ugh. I’m pathetic. Seriously. How long has it been since I got back from our France- Italy trip, and STILL no blog about Assisi! It’s really annoying because I have so many beautiful pics to show you hags of Assisi– enough to get you to save up for a trip there 😀 And yet, I deprived you all once again. Yes, I am a very irresponsible travel blogger. Sorrrreeeeeee!! The truth is, I have been working *and I haven’t been this busy– but it’s all good :D*

First off, let me post a photo of a recent article I wrote for a popular newsdaily. I posted it not because I want to brag (well ok, secretly I am gloating, so go ahead, take your shot at the braggart in me :D), but because I actually wanted to make a little correction (actually it’s pretty major).

I wrote about bags *woohoo right? :D*– the styles of bags available out there.
My article was alright (ok it was mediocre… sorry if it bored you to tears *sob*), but one of the photos didn’t correspond to the text. *Booboo!* I think the talented layout artists at the paper got overwhelmed with my photo bombardment thru their email 😀 *Sorrrrrryyyyyyyy folks!!!*

The photo caption on the top right read “POCHETTE. The pochette (pronounced “poshet”) is one of those small bags that work as an evening bag or as a clutch if you can tuck away the straps. It can’t hold anything bulky but [is] just [right] “for-emergency” money, credit card, a small mobile phone, and possibly a lipstick. The pochette doubles as a cosmetics case in a larger bag. If you don’t have much stuff and dislike lugging a big bag, the pochette is for you.”

The photo should’ve been an LV pochette, not a Goyard Kios. Because the Goyard Kios is a Barrel bag 🙂 And there is NO way that Goyard bag could double as a cosmetics case, unless you are lugging around a Samsonite Luggage for a bag *muwahaha* I would be interested to see THAT!!

Sorry to have to publish the erratum here, I thought it would be good to put it here 🙂 I’m certainly no bag hag to have made such a big booboo, so I apologize also!! *Seeee, I’m just a bag hag wannabe muwahahaha!!!*

This afternoon, a baghag friend of DH, MJ came by to visit me. She just flew in for the weekend, and she so VERY kindly brought back my loot for me. I want MJ to be my new BFF because she understands bags 😀 And mind you, not many of my DH’s friends understands bags. Now, DH’s friends’ wives, are a different matter. But my DH’s friend, into bags? OhMahGawd, I saw an ally immediately *muwahaha… perhaps MJ you can begin to convince le hubby that bags ARE investment pieces hahahaha*.

Sooo MJ brings good tidings to Tresorie today and presents moi with Ta-daaaaaaah!!!!She brought my Hermes Blue Brighton crocodile belt and my blue brighton Collier de Chien (CDC) cuff! I know I know, I’m the poster girl of high maintenance- ostentatious living– caviar taste fishball budget/ first world want third world pocket. *Muwahaha*. Ok wait, I didn’t pay for these things today. I paid for the CDC and the belt a few months ago already (pre- European holiday), but they got stuck in Hawaii because they needed to be issued CITES paperwork before they can be exported into Asia. Sooo now I am reunited with these Blue brighton babies!! *THANK YOU SO MUCH, MJ!! From the bottom of my heart and the bottom of my already emptied- out wallet :D*

And a-ha! Did you see what else was in the H photo? 🙂

Ok here’s the juice on that. A few days ago, I get a call saying my LV Aquarelle *MY “holy grail” for 2008* was already in the store. I nearly fainted. I just finished paying off all my credit card bills (all of which were just NOT NOT NOT pretty *SOB*), and I now have to pay for yet another bag!! I figured I’d defer the payment by not going to LV at all… (sorry Rhea haha)

But after I saw my article with the photo of the Aquarelle, I was like, ok today’s the day that I go fetch the bag that would end all my bag desires for the year 2008. Yeah, throw a little (gulp NOT REALLY little) caution to the wind, right? *DARNIT DESIGNERS, STOP MAKING NICE BAGS this year…. PLEASE!!!!*

So I went, and blindly had them swipe my credit card (much to my surprise it didn’t get declined *oh Ma Gawd if it did!!* muwahahaha).

The bag, I must admit, is GORGEOUS. I’m not really into the multicolore line of Vuitton, but this takes the cake. I love the karung handles of the bag, the red acetate frame, and especially love how the “mouth” of the bag just opens wide, wide, wide!!
Looooove it!!! In fact, I loved it so much I took it out for a spin tonight at Rockwell Powerplant Mall with my kiddies *beams* 🙂 For the baghags who want the Aquarelle line, Louis Vuitton Greenbelt will be carrying the LV Aquarelle Speedy 35 (YES! The big size! Woohoo!!), and also the Aquarelle papillon! If I’m not mistaken, the price for the Aquarelle Speedy with vachetta handles is around Php 66,000.

*Sigh* I was thinking a few seconds ago that a few weeks from now, I could be that lady I wrote about who had to sell off her bags because she had overbought without thinking about how the overbuying would hurt her finances. *GULP*

So I better get more work this year. There are too many bills to pay for, and holy crap, one more month and school opens. I didn’t fail to mention that this baghag is also a MOM right? I’m pretty sure I mentioned that a few times before 🙂 Sooo I think enough spent on bags already!! I will just be happy sitting on the sidelines, making comments on bags available online and watching people buy their “Holy grails”.

Now, I’ve SERIOUSLY come clean with you all. And yes yes, I know it’s become so blah and ho-hum each time I say “I’m broke”, so I ain’t even going to bother repeating it. But this almost mid-year accumulation of obviously unnecessary loot could set me back ’til next year, unless I get me a J-O-B 😀 *willing to work for food and bags please!!* But all the same, I am already extremely “bastante” with the stuff I got for 2008. I’m happy to watch YOU ALL do YOUR share of accumulation 🙂

And next post will DEFINITELY be about Assisi already. Sheesh. Talk about MAJOR procrastination. This is sooo not healthy anymore! *giggles… and trying to be cute to get out of that Assisi blogging hehe*

P.S. Some peeps asked me how come I wrote my article in a “formal” tone. Well, that’s cause I have to write like a real “journalist” (even if you all don’t think I am really one hahaha shame!). This blog is written straight from my mouth (and not my mind), so you notice the frequency of my verbal diarrhea *ewww mental picture*. And oh, I don’t think all newspaper readers would like to see me make a complete fool out of myself (like I do all the time here :D). Too much verbal (much more written) diarrhea is frowned upon in real life you know *thank Gawd I don’t have to face you all here or you’d be laughing in MY face when you see me 😀 I’d hate to pray that I get swallowed up by the ground when that happens hahaha*

P.P.S. Wheeeee my food article also got published recently 🙂 I wrote about my dining experience at Taillevent in Paris. Sorry, had to brag about this one *ducks as someone pelts me with a rotten egg*– it’s not bag related, but I wrote about FOOOOOD *my second love hehe* 🙂 So I posted it in my food blog, “theclosetglutton.blogspot.com

This baghag wannabe wants to be a food critic too (like that’s REALLY gonna happen… I can’t write!!!!) *Mrs.T gobbles up everything edible in sight… BURP*

Cheers and hope this has been a fun read for you all 🙂 🙂

  5. Hello Mrs. T,

I am 16 years old and have been an avid reader of your blog for a very long time 🙂

I decided that I would like to save up and buy myself a “reaching senior year” present next june, at the beginning I wanted the pomme d’amour vernis koala LV wallet but when i went with my friend to purchase his first Hermes item I could not help but notice the Blue Brighton belt.

because I am saving up all my savings for the next year, I would like to know how much the belt costed in Euros or US$ so I know how much I should save up.

Thank you very much hope you would reply. I could not get the belt out of my head and you have inspired me very much 🙂
