Here’s a really funny conversation that happened just 2 nights ago.
My eldest child, aka DK (dear kid) started by asking me, “Mom, are ___ and ___ my godparents?
Me: “Yes they are. ”
DK: “How’s Ninong ___?” *Note: Ninong= Godfather. My DK hasn’t seen Ninong ___ for 6 years*
Me: “Ninong ___ is well. Why do you ask?”
DK: “Is there a sacrament that will allow me to change my godfather?”
*We all laugh*
Me: “Why do you want to change Ninong ___?”
DK: “Because he’s delinking. Even DK2 has better godparents who don’t forget to give Christmas presents. Ninong ___ forgets me every year.”
(Delinking, as I found out after, was actually “delinquent”! Hahahahaha and we all laughed so hard after we realized DK meant delinquent– on Christmas gifts!!!).
Kids always equate having godparents with having toy sponsors on Christmas *hahaha– but oye so true*. It’s only much later in life that you realize these godparents are really good godparents if they end up guiding you during your growing- up years (my godparents have become real good mentors to me :D). But for those godparents who still have little children for godchildren, Christmas IS coming up soon and you need to start buying those presents. Luckily, there’s a new “smart toy store” in town, and they’re our newest neighbors at Tresorie 🙂

Chris is the brains behind the Humor Post boutiques, and Edsna has been bringing in educational toys from different parts of the world, and having them sold in major toy retailers throughout the country.

There are sooo many things to get at IMP! I walked away with sooo many things for my kids and I. I honestly had no intention of buying anything for myself, but I walked away with A LOT of keychains that are going to end up as my bag charms! So godparents, check out IMP.
