When I arrived at the nerve center (aka Rea’s house), packing was already underway. I was able to survey all the things that Rea and her team have been tirelessly putting together (calling suppliers, coordinating deliveries and payment, and then repacking everything for distribution). So, to our Fabella donors who have agreed to send money for relief efforts and goods for the Ondoy victims, here’s where your money is (rest assured proper bookkeeping and accounting is also being done by Rea– she’s really a Super Woman, I tell you).
Sacks of Rice (LOTS of them)
Finished packing goods for 100 babies above 6 months old– for distribution to the parents of these babies in Fabella who were severely affected by the flood
NICU babies’ moms get these packs– all 150 bags in those red plastic bags
Bought LOTS and LOTS of diapers
Boxes and Boxes of Bottled Water(I’m not kidding, there’s SOOOO MUCH!!!)
Boxes upon boxes of Nestogen One and Two
Donated old baby clothes as well as extra clothes purchased
Boxes of Sardines as well as more bottles of water
Boxes and boxes of Cereals, different flavors (cerelac)(same box, tight shot)
Noodles, CrackersAlso have Off Lotion (which was out of the box and shown here)
Boxes of Medicine (I think there were 3 kinds– for fever, colds- cough, and vitamins)
Tommee Tippee bottles which were donated by Tommee Tippee (thank you so much!)
The assembly line, where everyone did their part to make the task of repacking each bag for distribution so much easier and faster.
Rea’s Jack Russell named Alex, kept “supervising” us. 🙂 He seemed eager to help (so cute!!)
To Moms for Moms: Rea, Edna, Dexter, Cassie, and Sheila, THANK YOU.
Target relief goods to be distributed:
Fabella: 450 baby packs, 150 mommy packs.
Alay ng Puso: 200 baby packs, 150 toddler packs, 150 family packs.
We are also still in the process of determining how many packs will go to Ondoy victims at Payatas.
We will still need to buy hydrite or pedialyte in bulk, so if you know ANY bulk seller that can give us a good price for it, please please let us know. THANKS!
P.S. Thank you so much, MaryD for adding to our Fabella/ Ondoy Relief Fund for your donation of $75. I have asked more permission from donors and have channeled more to Moms for Moms c/o Rea this afternoon, in the amount of Php 150,000 (Ph 50,000 of that money will go to buying more goods for the flood victims of Payatas, as they’ve sought our help– they’re also apparently very neglected as all efforts in rescue and relief were in the Rizal and Marikina area) Our current available balance is now at Php 396,790 (We will be keeping the rest of these funds to buy the equipment as originally planned).
P.P.S. Just in case some of you are interested also to donate, my PAYPAL email address is TRESORMAKATI@GMAIL.COM and please email me as well so I have double records of your pledges. Thank you!
