Bag Review: Valextra AW2012- 13

I’ve always been intrigued about Valextra’s clean designs. Most of the pieces they have are of classic shapes and always so clean. So when the company came up with a new shape, it was actually quite exciting. A collaboration between renowned Milanese landscape architect Patrizia Pozzi and the brand resulted in these bags below.

Lotus leaf- shaped!

Love the lotus flower hardware clasp detail!
In another color below. This is a photo of the back of the bag– if you open the front flap of the bag, you’ll see that it’s actually shaped like a lotus leaf 🙂

I especially like this bag below because the design is very thoughtful of the wearer– the strap is thin close to the bag but thickens as it nears the center, allowing for a more comfortable carry for the wearer. This kind of thin- to- thick- to- thin strap does not ruin the aesthetic of the bag at all, as it is still makes the bag look “clean”. There is no “abruptness” in the design of the bag, if you know what I mean 🙂

So sleek!
This is by far one of the most exciting bags at Valextra’s FW 2012- 13 collection. It’s a worthy investment in my opinion 🙂
