Bag Review: Valentino and Gucci

Despite Valentino’s absence in the creative production of all things Valentino, the bags continue to impress me.

I’ve test-driven the beautiful Petale bag, but much to my dismay, the leather is smooth (and normally that’s a good thing) therefore gets scratched easily. It was a “Goodbye, the bag’s not for me” thought immediately after I noticed the leather.

Then of course came this bright pink concoction. It may not be Valentino red, but it’s still gorgeous. I’m sure some baghags are willing to overlook the leather quality (about it being easily scratched), but I still have to hold back. The bag will set you back by US$2,495.

Now on this beautiful pink Volants mini hobo bag, I couldn’t help but squeal with delight. I love the bag because it’s sooo girly and so cute. I can only wish I had seen this bag up close. Priced at US$1,495.

On a different bag note, I want to know who among you still carries a backpack? Because Gucci’s most recent bag, a cobalt blue backpack, is something to lust for. I haven’t used a backpack in ages (a sign of my age too hahaha… I usually see backpacks on the younger ‘uns these days). But this is something worth checking out. Gorgeous blue color, priced at US$3,350 (soooo not cheap!)

All three bags are available at NeimanMarcus.Com

Have a great weekend!

P.S. Today’s my youngest DK’s birthday. My “mischievous one” turns 4 🙂 A proud mum I am, so I just need to do a shout out, “Happy Birthday, Not-So-Little L!” 🙂
