Be still my heart (err… ok, wallet)!! If Valentino hasn’t done enough to lure me into buying one of his bags, this Rose Vertigo Satchel 
is the one bag that would’ve sent me buying that plane ticket to Hong Kong (to the nearest Valentino boutique). Alas, this baghag’s not exactly “liquid” in the financial department, so don’t be expecting this bag on my arms anytime soon. But to my dear friends out there who have an extra US$2,395 lying around somewhere, you’ve been warned. I will hunt you down and nag you to buy this bag and parade it in front of me (so that I may salivate til kingdom come :D).
I actually saw this bag up close and thought, it COULDN’T be a Bottega. It’s wayy too bugly 🙁 Alas. It IS a Bottega. Tomas Maier, love the clothes, but this bag? What were you thinking???

Tomas once said, “I always like an object that is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside… that’s what luxury is all about. It’s very personal. Nobody needs to know.” (Harper’s Bazaar, Feb 2008). Umm.. Mr. Maier, this bag will forever be etched in the minds of baghags as that bugly Bottega. Sure the construction and style are both impeccable. But what’s up with the sky blue plaid design? Someone might like it, but for sure that someone isn’t me. I’d honestly rather spend my US$2,350 on the Valentino or on another more conservative Bottega Veneta bag. And recession doesn’t give designers the license to create something ugly and expensive at the same time. Come on, the idea is to lure consumers to spend, not to be appalled enough to gird their wallets.

hi the valentino bag reminds me of the YSL bag a couple of years back. Parang flower din yun eh. I think 2 colors lang black and cream. I forgot the style name of the bag. Pero parang ganun.
