Bag Review: LV Spring/ Summer 2009

If there was a color void in Marc’s design life at LV for Fall 2008, it’s the exact opposite for Spring 2009. There’s an overabundance of color this time 🙂

Thank God for that. But wait, I’m not all praises with the S/S2009 collection just yet, but the fact that there’s more color and more “effort” in this collection, makes me happy enough (though not delirious because of all those animal prints). And my, a LOT of accessories this season for LV by the way!

I’m really not much of an animal- print person.

I can see myself liking this denim bag, but my history with LV denim bags, well, there’s not enough “time” I had with them to make it a memorable one. The only thing going for this denim bag (in my opinion) this time is that it has that aquarellian inspiration on the logos.

I’m reiterating my lack of fondness for animal prints…

Oh my God, I had a bag in this exact same shape when I was a little girl. (I wonder where that bag went…)

Ok yikes, I so don’t like the use of these shimmery fabrics. They look so cheap.

I can conceivable use this bag. It’s very bohemian with those “beads”.

This clutch reminds me of a jewellery pouch.

Interesting
In this era of financial depression, it’s good to keep colors around… I swear, there are SO many bags this Spring 2009 from Vuitton, and I’m hoping there’s actually ONE bag that I’d like 🙂

Are you baghags liking what you see so far?

Nice to hear you up and well.

Just wondering whats all the shiny shimmery splendid and tassel fringes? its like they ripped the tassel of the loafers in the 80s. I could hear the SM lady speaking now “Edidi-one,ed-d-one brown with tassels…” haha

not so much loving it, plus the tote bag ng chanel (knock off alarm) haha

  2. Closetcase cris: haha agreed on the tassels. I don’t get the flat tassels at all. Im glad though that this whole collection is infused with color, color, color. I’m not loving any bags this season though (and I think I should thank the Bag Gods for that hahaa).

  3. Yeah the colours are fun. It so brings me back to the disgrace of the lovely Stephen bag. The mono Stephen is a piece of art and then some knob comes along and decides to bling it up with gold and cheetah print. What da fu? Totally devoid of sophistication. As for the tassles…the feathers are going to shed and molt into spikes, will get caught in car doors, the beads will get banged up as they arc disgracefully and slam into every sharp turn you go into. Your hobo pseudo hippy mother in law will say something like *Oh, I had a bag JUST like that in my teens.GROOVY.*

    …Ugh.

    …Terrible.
