Bag Review: LV Empreinte Collection (Christmas Bag Countdown Day 1)

Just came back from the Louis Vuitton event tonight.  One thing I love about the people who work at Louis Vuitton Manila– they are sooo nice and so accommodating! And I think sales associates from other stores should take notes from the LV peeps. I remember the days when sales associates from different designer brands wouldn’t give the time of day to walk- in clients who weren’t “dressed well.” Think Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Voila, those very clients who didn’t “dress well” are the ones with spending power.  “Mistake. Big Mistake. Huuuge!” 🙂
Anyway, tonight I decided to debut my favorite pair of shoes–the DKNY runway booties that were the gift of the super wonderful folks from the DKNY headquarters in New York! *Teehee I was a head taller than the women and I’m actually glad I didn’t topple over like I predicted I would hahaha… Imagine me falling flat on my face. Bet that would’ve made a lot of people happy! Tsk you are such meanies! Muwahahaha*
DKNY booties= Unconditional LOOOVE
I wore the booties with my Hello Kitty watch, and my Louis Vuitton Vernis Alma GM in Pomme D’Amour (seen here with my friend’s green Alma)

Lol the Christmas Almas! 😀

The Empreinte Collection was launched tonight, and I was over the moon for the Artsy Bag.

Beautiful bag. In Taupe! Hehehe and my beautiful booties again 😀
The bag is quite light and *big sigh* smells heavenly! I love the beautiful leather grain and  “letterpress- like” imprint of the monogram on the bag, and it’s really such an easy bag to carry. The hobo style is a perennial favorite so I was really drawn to the empreinte artsy from the get- go.

The bag also comes in blue, and in immaculate white

The wallets are lovely too! My personal pick? The blue one!
There were other bag styles from the Empreinte collection– the Lumineuse (which looks a little like the LV Palermo– and is a hot seller of the night), the Inspiree (a rectangular boxy bag), and the Petillante (a clutch!). Sorry no photos of the other styles because honestly, it wasn’t easy to take photos of them because people were grabbing those bags off the shelves to buy! Oh and spank me, I was having too much fun chatting with Teddy Dario of 24/7 Magazine to ask to photograph them hahaha 😀
Anyway, my faves are (in order) the Artsy, the Inspiree, and then the Lumineuse (this is most popular because it is the most functional among the three styles).

More bag shots from tonight’s event:

So baghags, this concludes BAG #1 of Christmas Bags Countdown 🙂 If there’s one bag from Louis Vuitton worth getting to “end” year 2010, it has to be one of the bags from the Empreinte Collection 🙂

P.S. Thank you Abegail, Miles for taking care of us. And special shoutout to Rhea and Dara for yet another highly successful Louis Vuitton event + launch + exclusive shopping party!
