It has been a long time since I wrote about Louis Vuitton monogram bags– you know, the classics! I think today’s a good time for one. Almost a decade ago (omg, yes a decade!), I remembered considering the LV Saumur as my first cross- body bag because it was very functional. It has compartments on both sides and was not big or bulky. The only thing that made me hesitate was the leather on the bag– at that time I couldn’t appreciate how the natural cowhide would eventually develop a patina. I was worried that it won’t develop evenly too.
Now, no worries for the patina! Because Louis Vuitton came out with this Perforated Saumur– and guess what, the leather trims and strap are already tanned!
I especially like that there is that nice blue color which peeks from under the perforation. Looks like it is time to go back to the Louis Vuitton boutique to test wear this baby! 🙂 Cross- body bags are really perfect for travel with children, and this LV Perforated Saumur looks like it will work quite nicely with my weekend jaunts with the kids! 🙂
