It was really a pleasure to have met Ms. Giovanna Furlanetto of Furla. After having 15 minutes of her time for a one- on- one interview which is published today on the Philippine Daily Inquirer, I walked away inspired and driven. For it is her continued passion, openness, and tenacity which has driven the company to succeed and go up and up even during a slow- growth economy.
For the Fall/ Winter 2011- 2012 collection, Furla introduced this zippered “pleat” tote which comes studded
In white with chocolate brown inner pleat
and also in this classic vertical line- embossed style with micro- studs on the inner zipped pleats.

The bag is very well- made, has a zippered top which makes it very functional for daily use (your things are definitely “secure”). The 2 side zip pleats actually do function to compact the bag in size, or to expand it. And the white as well as micro- studded versions are extra nice because a different texture or color is revealed when unzipped.
The bag is light, and will definitely be a good city bag for everyday use. There are no logos (if you don’t wish for the bag to “scream” its brand), and it’s really very understated and classic. The last photo with the black and “surprise” micro studs is a favorite as it is a conservative design if you zip both sides up, but when unzipped becomes a pretty modern looking and an almost “rocker chic” bag. If I were to buy a black tote for everyday use, I will without a doubt pick this bag– it can be “safe” and it can be real “fun” too 🙂
Prices for Furla bags remain very “friendly” so you won’t feel the pain in your pocket once purchasing this bag, with full knowledge too that what you are buying is something of excellent quality.
