Bag Juggling Act!

I had recently concluded a two week trip with my 2 children and I know for a fact that it is never easy to travel alone (one parent only) with one, let alone 2 very active kids. It is definitely a juggling act. I marvel at the idea of a very hands- on mother who is still able to look stylish and at her best while she devotes most of her time to her children. It is not an easy task unless you have extra hands to help you.

Coleen Rooney is seen here carrying her son Kai while handling her yellow Celine mini luggage tote and perhaps her son’s belongings. Not easy at all to do that (although Coleen has had help with her, not pictured below).

This brings me to today’s subject– the idea of carrying two bags. Sometimes one bag is no longer enough. But then having two bags can also only mean one thing– you end up carrying your whole house with you! I think the best 2nd bag has to be made of lightweight fabric– think enviro-totes. I tell you, you do not want to be weighed down by 2 leather bags. You will end up looking like you got evicted out of your apartment or home 🙂
I used to prefer carrying one big bag over 2 smaller bags, but these days I too have succumbed to two bags over one large one– simply because my shoulder cannot handle one heavy bag. So I chose to balance the weight out with two bags– that way my one “offending” shoulder no longer gets as strained as before.
How about you? Would you prefer to carry one large bag or two bags if necessary?
