An Update on This Ol’ Hag

Hi everyone!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for educating me on CourtneyC’s bag 🙂 I had never even heard of that brand until you all informed me about it! You hags are so right, the bag color is beautiful! I swear I actually thought that bag was Devi K! It looked it somehow too! My bad 🙂 *You seeee, I am NO baghag!! I’m just a trying- hard baghag wannabe! And you hags proved it!! :D*

So sorry I haven’t been online lately. Both my kids are sick (tonsillitis and bronchitis combined!!) 🙁 *sob*, so I’ve been so bothered by their illnesses that I failed to go online and talk bags. I haven’t really been getting enough sleep lately too because I had to check on their temps every hour or so. My little one’s fever even went up to 40 deg C!!! I was almost in tears when the fever didn’t go below 39 the whole night, and we almost had to go to the E.R.! Thank goodness the meds kicked in early in the morning. It has been a pretty crazy stress-filled week. *Sigh* Motherhood comes with so many perks (unlimited hugs and kisses, thousand- watt smiles, giggles and squeals), but then you get this. It’s been so emotionally draining. I would’ve actually blogged earlier as a form of respite, but my internet connection has been pretty bad lately as well (yes, my connection is “sick” too haha). I swear, this is already a frequent occurrence. I’m not exactly liking the fact that I’m getting used to slow internet connection or NO internet connection!

Having no internet is actually bad for my health too– haha. That’s because I usually end up watching the telly all night if I don’t have internet (although not these few days though). And that only means one thing: watch telly the whole night= eat chips the whole night! *Burp* 😀 I’m actually fine with that (until guilt sets in haha), that is, until my stash of chips gets depleted. And then the hunger pangs become unbearable. There’ve been times I’ve called up DB to ask if he wants to grab a bite at Shinjuku (my favorite midnight haunt) or at Old Swiss Inn (they’re open 24 hours haha). It’s pretty pathetic. I feel like I’m cheating on my DH! As my DH sleeps, I’m out with my sib, having midnight snack… ok, let’s call it my “2nd dinner”. Because the phrase “having a snack” means “having a light, informal meal”. I can’t call the quantity of food I wolf down at 3 in the morning “light”. Tsk. Look at what I just did. I revealed another bad habit of mine. Eating early in the morning! (And it isn’t even breakfast hahaha). Oye, and you better not tell DH I go sneaking out in the middle of the night to eat out with DB! *Muwahahaha DH could conceivably replace the locks on our doors and not give me the new key hahaha*

Ok I’m obviously blabbering again about something useless. Pardon the brain, it’s all “air” lately hehehe. Anyway, I finally get the chance to check my email and voila, lookie what I got:

A photo of the Hermes Poussiere Kelly 35cm.
The French word “poussiere” literally means “dust”. Got me thinking… so if I leave this bag uncovered to accummulate dust, it won’t get any “dustier” (in color), right? *muwahahaha typical bimbo question. What to expect of Mrs.T? Mrs.T= bimbooo hahaha*

Kidding aside, I think the color is gorgeous. The poussiere seems quite close to parchemin. I wish there was a way I could do an actual side- by- side comparison. Anyway, here’s the parchemin color in a 30cm Birkin.
Speaking of Hermes, I was told that Manila’s 1st and only Hermes boutique will park itself in Greenbelt. Can’t disclose exact location yet because if I’m wrong, you’ll all wanna kick my fat behind hahaha (oooh that’ll hurt). But I hear they are already interviewing peeps for jobs at H. *Hmmm… time to fix my resume hahaha… I need a j-o-b… geez not like I’ll even be considered! My resume will be the first one to hit the garbage can hahaha.. useless haha*

So Hermes addicts and groupies, we all have something to look forward to in Manila by next year (or so..). And of course la pregunta (ok so I think I know how to speak Spanish hehe… NOT) in everyone’s mind is, Will Hermes Manila carry birkins and kellys too? Tsk, the $9,500 question remains unanswered 😀

Lastly, I just have to post a photo of MarivicL’s Prada bag. I had once thought Prada’s robot bags were cute, but this beary beary *no pun intended hehe* cute tote definitely topples the Robot bag’s spot in the cuteness list! It’s a limited edition tote that was made to commemorate the Beijing 08-08-08 Olympics! So ML’s bag has “2008” emblazoned proudly on the Prada logo and on Mr. Bear the Hockey Player 🙂 I think it’s so cool to have this bag, especially since it’s pretty impossible to get the Prada SA in Hong Kong to sell you one! Luckyyyy girl!!!

I better get going now, I have to check on the kids again. And ugh, I’m hungry. We’re heading off to Sango! burger for a quick meal. While I’m not a huge fan of “chili” on my burger (which I ate anyway out of hunger hahaha), my friend Pete had this omelette rice dish (which he said was good). Sango! is located along Mile Long Makati, (632) 830-0391. If you love eating burgers served with chili, give Sango! a try.

Oh, oh! Update!! DH and I are celebrating our 7th anniversary soon and we will be going away for it *I redeemed my free air miles again, so we’re flying freeeee (almost– we had to pay for taxes!)*. So I really pray and hope my kids get better because I don’t know if I want to even go on a trip while they’re sick… but then, the trip’s already been booked and the hotel’s fully paid… *sigh* I know.. I’m a bad Mum 🙁 … *Moment of silence* So please pray my kids get better or I don’t get to blog about my trip! 😀

Anyway, before you think, “second honeymoon”, kill the thought, ‘coz we are going there to EAT 😀 (Time to fatten up DH! It’s unfair that I’m the only one in this family getting fat hahaha). Any guesses to where we’re going this time? 🙂 Besides, we can’t afford a 3rd kid. I mean, gasoline prices are so high already! Plus, lookie, I haven’t bought a bag in over a month (woohoo, world record right? D-uh.. shallow)! Which only means one thing– all my moolah goes to paying for gas!!!! *Grumble… I wish I owned a gasoline station*. So, no to kid #3. Unless by some odd twist of fate, we win the state lottery (what are the chances of us winning if we don’t even buy a lottery ticket, yeah? Hehehe). Either that, or we decide we’d rather go hungry and have a 3rd kid 🙂

Alright, enough already. I’m no longer making any sense here. I swear, it’s the hunger kicking in. I gotta go. Continuing to write on this blog ain’t right anymore 😀 hehehe… *Dials DB‘s number asap*

*Stomach growls loudly* 🙂

P.S. Today’s my Eldest DK’s birthday, and too bad we can’t even eat out to celebrate because of DK’s tonsillitis and bronchitis with fever!! I just wish DK would get well soon 🙁 🙁 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DK!! 🙂 Mumsy loves you!! (Sorry, I get real mushy when it comes to my kids 😀 I just HAD to use this blog to broadcast the not-so-little one’s birthday 😀 Sorrry!!!)

x

  1. Hi Mrs T! I don’t know if you’re allowed to say it but if you are, who is bringing Hermes into Manila? Sounds like they’d have a lot of great jobs over there 🙂

  2. aw… they’ll get better, Mrs. T… for regular coughs, you may give them Pei Pa Kwa syrup and lozenges… it still does the trick!
