All About the Hair

I had the funniest conversation with my girl friends yesterday and it was all about hair. Who here remembers hair from the late 80s? Remember the “Ricky Reyes” zigzag and spiral hair? *LOL hooo boy I had zigzag hair*  And who among you were frequent users of Aquanet spray? *Snickers*
I remember the hair all too well. Those teased up, towering bangs of yesteryears would always come back to haunt me 🙂 Hahahaha!!

Former Philippine child actress Jennifer Sevilla was unforgettably famous for her towering hair 😀  I knew back then girls in school wanted her hair height hahaha!! You know what they say– the higher the hair, the closer to God hahaha 🙂
I can *now* proudly say I don’t have incriminating photos of that hairstyle–simply because
  • Mom didn’t want to let me use her Aquanet *LOL*
  • I was never given the opportunity to buy my own Aquanet– grocery days always spent with mom, and she forbade my purchasing of any kind of hair spray since she didn’t want my hair “ruined” by hair spray (back then, I believed you, mom LOL)
  • I didn’t know how to tease my hair to add volume (I still don’t)
  • The school forbade that high hair– I remember a classmate would tell me that our school disciplinarian would hold her ruler into the bangs of any girl with the offending hair  height

What is loser hair back in those years? I can’t really describe it in a more articulate way, so let me just show you what my bangs resembled on a regular school day.

Hehehe… yes, my hair looked like an angry rooster with “spikey” feathers 😀  I now call it my “spring chicken hair” phase hehe.
