I have to confess. Prior to this post, I have never set foot inside the Furla boutique in Greenbelt 5 Mall here in Manila. I knew so little about the brand. But one afternoon, as I was waiting for my friend, I decided to enter Furla.
Furla is actually a Bologna, Italy- based leather bags and accessories company that began way back in 1955! As of the end of 2008, Furla has over 296 stores worldwide! Very impressive, right? Furla’s got the makings of a great company– it’s got history, tradition, and the sales network!
I was pretty impressed. At the Furla boutique, there were actually 2 bags that I wouldn’t mind owning–
This is the first one– a leather satchel that I frankly wouldn’t mind carrying. For one, it’s in a gorgeous shade of orange, and has brown leather handle accents. It’s a beautiful combination, will surely perk up an otherwise classic and plain outfit. Second, the best thing about this bag is the shoulder strap! So this will definitely make a great travel bag!
And then there were these–
Bugatti- shaped and very colorful beach bags!! They’re the chicest “beach” bags I’ve seen to date. Made of a type of rubber, no need to worry about getting the bag wet or dirty! And these bags are not as heavy as the other rubber bags I’ve seen in the past. I love it!
I’m actually also surprised to see that Furla has a shoe collection as well! These look real comfy. I reckon they’d make pretty great weekend sandals 🙂
