A Tad Green with a Little Reveal

Honeysuckle pink may be Pantone’s color for 2011, but I think green is in, in, in 😀 You turn green with envy *and that’s not really always a good thing hehe*, but green is also the color of well, the greenback aka the US dollar aka money  *insert theme song of The Apprentice: Money money money money… Moneyyy* 🙂
More 4-1-1 about the color Green: It’s a color also associated with good luck (think 4 leaf clover , St. Patrick’s day, and that wretched leprechaun running after a pot of gold haha), growth, and nature (vegetation!). Oh and green also happens to be one of the more calming colors to the eyes.

So this post is my little ode to Green!

I like going back to old classics once in a while, so this time I’m revisiting the YSL Oversized Muse — but in a stunning emerald green color!

The tried-and-tested Muse will not fail you, guaranteed!

And then there’s this very simple but equally stunning Jil Sander Textured Deerskin Tote

It kinda reminds me of a Prada tote somehow, but I love its simplicity. For a color this bright, you don’t really need additional details that would only make the bag look busy and well, unattractive.

I’m still hankering for a PS1 if you must know… (wonder when I’ll actually take the plunge because the Mulberry has won me over before Proenza Schouler did)

Another striking bag in green, the Michael Kors Kingsbury Medium Leather Tote

Available at Nordstrom

I like the belt buckle design on this bucket-like tote. The bag design, though on the complicated side, is still appealing. It’s not “too much” and I especially like the use of gold hardware here. Green with gold= classy!

See, I know a lot of people are still apprehensive about carrying a brightly colored bag, but know what? It’s great to have that pop of color especially if your closet is full of shades of grays, blacks, and neutrals (that’s why you still won’t see me carrying a black bag just yet– but I never say never :D).

With that, let me introduce my newest bag (for 2011), the Celine Luggage Tote– also in emerald green *or ok, I actually called it grass green, but emerald green just sounds so much better* 🙂

Now that the reveal is over, it’s time for me to clean my room and edit edit edit (I need to let a lotta things go hahaha. Gotta be economical for 2011!!)

Bottomline, I’m just loving my greens 🙂 Happy Weekend, everyone! Tomorrow I think I’ll do a food post 🙂
