A simple 5th year anniversary celebration :)

Peeps were asking me where I was on our 5th year anniversary (did DH score or what HAHA *pssst that’s personal!! Thwap!*). Hehe, during the day, DM (with her off-white Marc Jacobs venetia) brought me to see another doctor *yes I am turning into a real hypochondriac!* to have another laryngoscopy done yet again (my 1st doc wasn’t available). This time, a tube was inserted down my throat as opposed to my nose — first time was through the nose. Yech. The tube was practically shoved down my throat *OUCH*, and yes with anesthaesia or I would’ve gagged hahaha. (oooh wouldn’t you wanna see THAT! hehehe *evil sadistic grin*)

Did the good doctor find anything down my throat? He found a very swollen, white sore. EEEWW ok, that was really gross, having to tell you all about it (for those on diet, this revelation is perfect, because you lose your appetite instantly hehe). There was really no remedy for this– apparently it stems again from hyperacidity (LPR). I guess I really need to drink water a whole lot more. Yeck. And I actually hate drinking water (it’s tasteless!)

Ok now, let’s talk about the happy event now (enough doctor talk!). Only baghag MS was able to “guess” where DH and I actually went for dinner. That was not fair, really, since she SAW us (and didn’t even say hello) hehehe..

We went to this much- talked about Spiral of the Philippine Plaza for dinner. There were tons of food ahead of us. Scary thought. Actually that afternoon, I figured out where to eat, after I had a quick lunch at Cibo with my dear friend CS. You see, you are about to find out how cheap Mrs.T really is. CS offered me her Philippine Plaza card, which basically gives the bearer of the card 50% off the food bill (tsk cheap cheap bag hag!!). And I had really been hearing so much about Spiral that I figured, it would be nice to step out of our usual haunts and head this way. Besides, a walk apres dinner by the “bay” (haha by the pool area of the hotel) sounds rather lovely *and I hope there won’t be some pungent smell hahaha*

Ok so anyway, dinner. I started off with some salmon sashimi, raw oysters, and some seafood from this overflowingly orange stand (with the exception of the raw oysters at the back part). The sushi section isn’t really anything to write home about. The selection was not extensive (to my dismay).

Then I had the green tea soba with a half-poached egg and a veggie tempura topping. This was not bad at all.

Next up, tempura. While the tempura was quite alright, the dipping sauce though steaming hot, tasted rather bland. The miso soup was likewise bland (and I LOVE salty miso soup)

Then came the main course– I know, I know, lookie I ate TONS of food– prompting me to wonder, how on earth I could have hyperacidity since I eat like a horse! There were Chinese, Indian, Shawarma, and Italian “stations” as well as a Mongolian grill. I just settled for some roast duck, taro puffs (my fave), Indian cheese with spinach, naan bread, basmati rice, onion rings, a pot sticker, and one piece of lamb chop (which was sooooo gooood!!!).

I actually couldn’t wait to finish my meal so I could move onto dessert. Tsk, this is really a sweet- toothed bag hag’s dream (for the night) and nightmare (forever)– a moment on your lips, forever on your hips, as they always say. Bah. I’ll throw caution to the wind. DH and I should’ve taken laxatives to flush out remains in our stomachs before we came to Spiral *teehee grooosss eeeew*. There was just way too much food, and we both wanted to try a bit of everything (but humanly can’t!).

I had a demitasse of apple crumble (never finished it, yeck), and one choco-banana crepe (and I “drizzled” my crepe with white chocolate from the fondue fountain– yep I decorated my plate hehe), while DH had waffles and icecream.

For my dinner, I had a bland watermelon shake to accompany my meal. DH had cola. Geez, talk about highway robbery! Our drinks alone already cost Php 445.00! (Both would’ve cost just about Php 100 on average). Dinner was overall good, it wasn’t exceptional but it was more than acceptable. We were stuffed like little piglets. 😀 And more importantly, we were SA-TIS-FIED 😀

Apres dinner, we did take a nice walk by the poolside. No pungent smell (or we would’ve barfed out everything we ate haha). It was rather nice and windy 🙂

We had a great 5th year wedding anniversary. Now hags, I know you are all interested to find out if I got the lemon yellow Bottega hobo or the Lanvin. The answer is no, I didn’t (I might just hafta get that for myself hehehe *but I just worry that the BV hobo in yellow would get dirty fast*– woohoo girl power, woman of the world, raise your right hand and buy yourself a bag! *hehe*).

Ok, so I didn’t get a bag from DH *sniff* but I did get something wayy better *seeeecret!!* Think you can you guess what it is? 🙂

Time to take a nap now. DT slept with us last night but kept waking us up *hehe talk about having a hyperactive kid! 🙂

Meanwhile, keep on voting for who you think DESERVES to win the brag-a-bag collection contest! Bryanboy and I have our personal favorites, but we will be waiting for the tally of YOUR votes, dear readers!

Have a good weekend!! 🙂

P.S. Dear baghag friend LPT (and Hermes VIP client *wooohoooo*) sent me photos of the available Hermes bags (taken at the Hermes boutique) a few days ago. Of course my heart was pounding so loud when I saw all these (tsk I wouldn’t mind owning a Kelly pochette haha). EYE CANDY for the weekend 🙂
