A Reveal: Me!

It has been FOUR fun years on this blog, and every time I’d post a photo of myself, I make sure that there’s a colorful heart (with my fave color of the moment, haha) covering my face. You see, while I love taking photos (yessss, I am a cam whore– but then again, who isn’t? :D), I don’t enjoy posting photos of myself on my blog for public consumption. Two reasons for this– 1. I am just not comfortable posting my face here because I don’t have the “looks” *and would need serious makeup to cover up all the flaws and all that*– and no, I am not fishing for compliments here (although they’re appreciated hahaha). 2. I don’t want people who meet me in real life to be disappointed with the way I look in person (vs how they came to see what I look like online) *hahahaha*.
But I figured, since I turned a year older yesterday, I should just reveal myself since according to my friend Daphne (who I’m missing so much), I’m not exactly “anonymous”. Well, ok, I’m not “anonymous”, but I do have to live up to being Mrs. Jackpot Tai Tai  here *the “jackpot” country club- going, ladies-who-lunch kinda wife wannabe hahaha* 🙂  Having said that, let me just say I’m not a regular country club- going, ladies- who- lunch kinda wife hahaha, although I do aspire to be one someday  *hahahaha* 😀
So, there– the reservations I have about publishing my own photo sans the heart. 🙂 But since those few days in Florence for the Luisa style lab + anniversary events, I figured that perhaps it’s time I throw a little caution to the wind and just publish photos. Especially since the photos were taken by top photographers in Florence 🙂 Armed with amazing makeup by Gio and hair by the team who also took care of the models for the event (and I believe also for Pitti), I think I should be more confident 🙂
The photos I’m posting here wouldn’t have been published had it not been for the wonderful folks of Luisa Via Roma, who had arranged for the invited bloggers to enjoy the Style Lab sessions for 2 days.
I opted to “work” on Day 2.  I regret not having seen more of Florence on Day 1, although we did have a private tour of the Palazzo Vecchio by Luisa’s wonderful owner and most gracious host, Andrea Panconesi who also introduced us all to the dashing Mayor of Florence.

(L-R: Mayor of Florence Matteo Renzi, and Andrea Panconesi of LuisaVia Roma. Luisa by the way, is the name of Andrea’s beautiful daughter! Via Roma is the street where Luisa *the 3- floor designer emporium* is located! Now you peeps know :D)

Going back to the Style Lab topic, I even originally thought of doing the shoots outside in the beautiful city, but then decided against it. Haha, because I knew I’d faint (it has happened in the past) from heat, so I took the safer option *I know, I’m a bit of a bore, aren’t I?* of shooting in the “studio” at the beautiful Terrace inside Luisa Via Roma 🙂

So here they are, Mrs.T aka TheBagHag, REVEALED 🙂
Black top by Rick Owens, Brocade skirt by Tommy Hilfiger, Booties by Versace, Nightingale Bag by Givenchy
Knit shirt by See by Chloe, Vertebrae Bondage shoes by DSquared2, Red Python Bag by Zagliani, Hat by Borsalino
That was an impromptu shoot with Bryanboy, the world-famous blogger who is now in Pitti for Fashion Week.  I last heard that he will be walking the runway in Milan!!! We Filipinos should all be so proud of him 🙂  🙂 *Congratulations, Bryan! Here’s to a lot more success your way! :)*
All the clothes I wore are from the Pre-Fall collection and will be available online through LUISAVIAROMA.COM.

And at the anniversary party of Luisa, I decided to wear an Alexander Mc Queen dress
with Tabitha Simmons wedges from LuisaViaRoma.Com
I carried Ling Ling to the party 🙂

Here is “my precious” *said like the way Gollum did in The Lord of the Rings :D*, being introduced to Tommy (http://www.jakandjil.com) and Jane (http://seaofshoes.typepad.com) at the party.

Sooo there 🙂 I finally revealed what I look like in real life (well, ok these photos are not “real life” me– I mean, they’re me, but with lots of makeup :D). I would love to show you a front- view photo, but these are all the photos I can publish. For now anyway! I want to make sure I look my best when I show you peeps photos of myself, so I hope you can understand why I would post photos with the heart on my face again in the future 🙂

I had a most fantastic birthday month, and I will be blogging more about the Anniversary party + events of Luisaviaroma very soon, plus what I did in Barcelona 🙂

P.S. thank you Giulia, Vanni, and Claudia for taking my photos for Firenze4Ever! And super super thank you to Gio, Sammi, and Camilla for taking such good care of me at the Style Lab for LVR!

x
Mrs. T
