A relaxing weekend + TRESOR

Sorrry I didn’t really post anything yesterday. I was not sick (oh thank goodness– and I can’t possibly be sick since I’ve done nothing but stuff my face with food over the week. My immune system should be holding up quite nicely with all those fatty foods *muwahaha*)

DH and I went on our date last Friday and for the 2nd time, watched TDWP at Rockwell. I *still* loved the movie the 2nd time around. And this time, I got to really check out the bags. Ugh, I am now liking that little lacquer Chanel bag that Andy was carrying when she first kissed ChristianT in Paris. Tsk. Did you hags see that bag??? Where oh where can I find that?? It’s rather small, but oh my it’s just way too cute not to own!!

Anyway, on Saturday, I hung out with DH’s friend PC, who’s heading to Shanghai/Beijing this week. *ooooh Shanghai….* We walked around Glorietta (where I ATE again– dig this: 2 scoops of ice cream in a huge waffle cone, 1 Jamaican Patty *ok I just revealed the contents of my stomach over those 2 hours*), and later settled on having afternoon snackies at Manggan.

Yes, I ATE AGAIN at Manggan. Did I not tell you I was stuffing my face with food? I MEANT EVERY WORD. *And as I type this, the buttons on my shorts are popping, and my gut is sticking out… GROSSSSSS .. ok sorry, information overshare hehe*

Manggan had good, affordable food. I’ve always liked the food there, but on this particular day, and with not so many customers, I was disappointed with the service. The waiters were soooooo slow– they moved at an annoyingly glacial pace (as what Miranda Priestly would say *woohoo now she is my new heroine hehe*). We had yummy Filipino delicacies.

Bibingka with Kesong Puti (white cheese)
Puto Bumbong with Coconut meat shavings and brown sugar
And MY order, the Arroz Caldo
(Whaddayathink, I ate ALL those? Come on, give me credit. I didn’t wanna be known as the baghag glutton now, would I? *not yet anyway muwahahaha*) Anyway, getting our bill took us another 10 minutes. I honestly don’t understand why it’s impossible to get our bill at a faster pace since there were not many customers getting their bills at the same time anyway, and there were a LOT of waiters around– waiting! Blah. I was not going to be vicious about it (enough Miranda-isms for the day *snicker*).

We walked around some more and PC decided to comment on this rectangular bag we saw. He said “ooh a rat trap”. I nearly fell on the floor, laughing my fat tush off. Tsk. I happen to find this wire mesh bag with crystal embellishments quite funky– hehe NOT. I corrected PC. It’s a “glorified rat trap”. I mean, check out the blings! *teehee* It’s cute anyway. I’d keep one for posterity *really!* 😀

We had a wonderful time (sans the viciousness) for the rest of the afternoon. Got home and spent time with the kiddies, then of course, did the usual internet hunting. And found these photos that will leave me scarred for life.

QUEENBEE’S CLOSET:
(both photos credit: The Purse Forum)

I don’t get it. Kimora Lee Simmons. Hoarding all those LV bags, and gosh not even a single bag with patina on them cowhide handles and straps! (oh ok I get it… Too much money *snicker* OYE send some our way! :D) And oooh the Chanels… And oooh the shoes….

No, I don’t wanna be like her (Pfffft who am I kidding!!!!! YES, YES, YES I wanna have HER closet!!! *head nodding violently*).

Now THAT’s an exhibition of excess right there. Cheers to you Kimora. I hope one day when you get sick of your LV bags (or heaven forbid when the cowhide trims and leathers turn brown), you know there’s a bag hag *wannabe* here in Manila waiting for them 😀 *Freeloading hag alert!! hehehe*

Ok, tut tut, enough now. I better scurry off to bed. Or my stomach will begin churning acid again and I’ll once more be forced to eat something! *tsk tsk tsk… que horror!*

La-di-da, c’est la vie! Such is life 🙂

P.S. SHAMELESS PLUGGING ALERT! Is there any baghag interested in a new Hermes Kelly in this shade of pink-purple called cyclamen? It’s a 35cm in epsom leather. Perfect size! Someone? Anyone? Puhhhhhleeeeease? Coz if you are interested in it, you’re doing me a favor. I am in love with the bag too (no, this is not my bag. I wish it was *pout*), but I have no funds at all to buy the beautiful baby. If you have US $7,000 lying around, this bag can be yours 😀 Payment terms are also accepted (as long as terms are agreeable with the seller). It comes complete with box and accessories. And as always, it is guaranteed authentic or your money back in full! Interested? Please SMS (+63916) 758-0857.

P.P.S. I will be flying to the US this month, and will be taking in bag purchase orders now (YSL, Prada, Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Marc Jacobs… etc). Goyard bag orders are especially accepted. Custom painting might be accommodated within that time frame I’m in the US, so if you want to buy a Goyard bag and have customization (stripes or monograms), now’s the time! For orders, please SMS/text as soon as possible (+63916) 758-0857. The longer you wait, the less chance that they can finish the handpainting work in time for my departure back to Manila.

  1. I know where it can be found. I bought mine from bluefly.com last year…I know the Chanel boutiques don’t carry it anymore (correct me if I’m wrong), and I haven’t seen it in department stores lately. After the movie premiered, I noticed that the round wristlet wasn’t on the website any longer. Could it be because of the movie? Perhaps so…and I’m glad I noticed it on the site when nobody wanted it!
