A Mini Bag Dilemma + Bling Talk!

I have a mini dilemma (I say mini dilemma because 1. It’s not life- altering, 2. It’s really not important hehehe). You see, I’ve begun to check out what’s in my closet. And then I found some of my bags which I have not used for some time, and yet I have extreme difficulty letting them go. So what would you peeps do if you were in my shoes *errr make that in my bag closet hehehe*?
I’ll show you the bags:
1. Hermes Kelly Pochette in Pelouse Swift.
I love this size, but I have hardly anything in my closet that works with this color. 🙁 I ordered something else in the same style and it’s coming soon *woohoo* and well, I don’t really want to maintain 2 of the same style (I’ve been cutting down, remember?). But I loooove this color… plus I am very surprised at how resilient swift leather actually is– contrary to what I had first believed in. My only worry if I keep her is that I won’t be able to use her much (she looks so new still)
2. Louis Vuitton Pastel Glitter Cabas in Pink.
Oh my Gawd, I have NOT used this bag in 2 years to be exact! She is a real lovely bag, with lizard handles. And I love that it’s in pink, with silver glittery monograms. I had a rough time getting this bag, even so far as asking one of my old colleagues from work to pull some strings to get it for me at the Louis Vuitton Champs Elyseés boutique at the time this bag came out! So “she” is special!*Gawd, I really find it soo difficult to let this bag go. Besides, this is now quite “rare” considering it was part of a limited edition set of Louis Vuitton bags for one of the brand’s Spring/ Summer collection.
Hmmm…. I’m thinking I should just let go of the Hermes Kelly pochette for now. What do you peeps think? Help! Would be great to hear your inputs!! (I’m still sorting out bags– and oh, Tresorie is planning on having a Pre- Valentine’s Day Sale too! :D)
On another note, I’ve been obsessing over some pieces at Accessory Lab *which is also why I think I need to let some bags go– to pay for bliiiiing :D*  One thing you peeps might not know is, I too, am a client (love your own much? hehehe).  One of my favorite designer pieces at Accessory Lab  is this multi- strand pearl necklace with different carved stone flowers.
I tried pairing it with my outfit today–

I don’t know if you like my pairing *because the necklace is pastel-y while my jacket is all about “brights”* But oye, it’s all about florals hahahaha. Florals… for Spring? Groundbreaking! 😉 Ok, I don’t care if the whole look works or not (chic or tacky? It’s a toss-up!). But like I always say, girls, wear your confidence (*ahem* I wore my confidence today so I’m happpyyyyy hahaha)! Fashion is all about self- expression and it’s not about other people– it’s all about YOU! 🙂  It doesn’t really matter if others think you look chic or tacky. The important thing is,  you feel good about yourself! 🙂 Those who don’t like your “look” can just “look” elsewhere *muwahahaha biatch alert hahahaha*– seriously, right? 🙂

Anyway, here’s the closeup of the necklace (in real life, it looks much, much more stunning!!)

I think it dresses up a pretty blah outfit like the one I was wearing earlier. And it is also wonderful to wear for a formal occasion!

Hint to DH: I would like this for Valentine’s Day, please 😀 This is a great deal compared to the JAR pieces of Ellen Barkin  *muwahahahaha high maintenance baghag wannabe alert!*

  1. my personal opinion – I think you should keep the pochette. it’s really cute and if you love the size then you should be able to use it. I personally don’t have any use for pochettes because I always carry alot of stuff with me, so if I had this, it’d end up inside a big bag. Now for the LV bag, I think you can let that go. I’m thinking that if you haven’t used this for 2years now, you might not ever use it again unless you consciously tell yourself that yeah, I will use this bag at least once a month from now on or something. I’m prety sure you’ve here the 12-month rule the “closet organization experts” have. 🙂

  2. Good morning, Mrs. T!

Regarding the Hermes pochette, I’d sell it since you have one coming in the same style anyway. Should you regret letting it go, then that’s one perfect excuse for another purchase. :))

The LV purse, the question is, how attached are you to this bag? If you are hanging on to it because you had a reaaaally rough time getting it, then I say, keep it. But since you said, you haven’t used this bag in 2 years, well….maybe it’s time to let it go and have someone else enjoy it’s company. :)) There’s always future designs or whatever that will come out anyway. Then again, vintage is vintage. Hahaha! Did I just confuse you? Hahaha!

The outfit. It looks good to me. I especially love your little jacket. So spring! The necklace is so pretty, how I wish I was there to make “usyoso” in your store!

Hope my 2 cents helped. LOL

  6. Very nice outfit Mrs T! I so love the necklace!

I’m not really a fan of LV so between the 2 bags, i would say let the LV go to a new home 🙂
The pelouse kelly pochette is just too beautiful to let go..

  7. id keep the LV coz its limited ed. you have a new hermes coming anyway =)

about your outfit mrs.t, i like the summer feel esp the jacket but if i were to wear that necklace, id pair it with black and white outfit or all black lang so that the necklace will pop =) its just me though =)

  8. keep the H pochette!!

will go well with a pair of skinny jeans and a simple t-shirt and a cute ballerinas!!

throw it in your travel for your cosmetics and when you`ve reach your travel destination an instant bag for dining.

    LV is cute……..but the sayonara!!

    jap boi

  9. Hi everyone!!! 🙂

Thanks for the inputs! 🙂 For now, I’m thinking of actually keeping the LV bag still (gosh I have a harder time letting her go because there won’t be another one like it), and letting the Kelly pochette go since I’ll get another Kelly pochette … hope I am making the right decision 😉

I’ll keep you peeps posted!! And THANK YOU for all your inputs! It was SO hard to consider one or the other bag for adoption. But again, I will keep you all posted 🙂

    xx

  10. I think your outfit is very Marni-esque! Love it.

I’m not gonna give input about the bag dilemma lol. I guess if I was in that situation, I’d calculate cost per wear.

  11. Hey, Mrs. T. This is a late reaction. Haha!

I say keep the LV and let go of the Pochette.

Keep the LV because it’s TOO pretty and all the other things you said.

Let go of the Pochette because it hardly works with anything in your closet and besides, there’s a new one coming.

    0=)

P.S. the necklace is super! 🙂
