A Filipino Tribute… Pinoy Pride!

I just wanted to share some photos from this week’s big event, if you haven’t already seen the photos from ManilaSocialDiary.Com 🙂
On the night of Philippine Independence Day, I was honored to have taken part in Mega Magazine’s Pinoy Pride Ball which not only showcased Dubai- based designer Furne One’s collection but also honored other global Filipinos that have made the Philippines proud in their respective fields.
I was one of the presenters for the night, and I was only too proud to present the award to a dear friend and the newest ANTM judge, Bryanboy 🙂
Thank you Rissa T. for this photo 🙂
I am proud to say that I am a perennial outfit repeater/ clothes recycler, and I wore my 3 year- old ball skirt and button shirt by Philippine designer Inno Sotto once again :). After all, how many opportunities can one really get to wear a ball skirt with a train?  *Thank goodness I still managed to fit into it LOL*
Before the party:
With Manila’s newest Elite model, Rafael Do Prado, Melo, One Mega’s Cheryl Tiu, and model DJ Callum David
After the party:

PR Man Frank Briones,  Manila Bulletin’s Marbee Go, Cher Tiu, Mega Magazine’s Suki Salvador, and Rafael Do Prado
I loved that the guests were so curious to touch the bag I carried that night– LOL the bag looked like it needed to be touched, really 🙂 Since it was a ball which honored Filipinos, I carried a bag also made by a Filipina! It’s the bag designed by Bea Valdes.  It’s actually not a clutch and has chain link strap (which I’d really like removed but am still trying to figure out how :D), and is a rather sizable bag. I love it because it holds a LOT 🙂
And since you’ve already seen the action shots above, here’s a closeup of the bag.
Hope you peeps enjoy the rest of the day. I need to head to the airport now to catch my flight to Florence 🙂 The next post will most likely be from there so please also follow me on Twitter.Com/THEBAGHAG 🙂
Hopefully though I have wifi later at the airport to write one more post for you all. And oh yes, I will do a birthday bag giveaway when I get back from Florence. I didn’t forget 🙂
P.S. Thank you Bianca Valerio and Mark Familara for the HMU
