A Bag Snob mention + Evening bags + TRESOR update

I am truly humbled. A few bag hags including Paz, RT, BA, and GS, all sent me a note, informing me that The Bag Snob has mentioned thebaghag’s website on her blog, as one of her “web reads”. The Bag Snob is one of the leading bag authorities on the net, and her critiques on the latest bags are definitely a must-read. Thank you very much, Bag Snob, for featuring my blog about our story on the Haley’s Couture fake Hermes birkin. I think it’s great how influential bag writers are spreading the word about Haley’s owners’ intentions to scam unsuspecting victims. And in fact, let me add that there has been NO email AT ALL from Haley’s Couture. They never accepted any proposal about the refunds. How dare, right? They were the ones who scammed, and yet my friend and I had to be the one to propose ways on getting her refund back, and theirs, their fake bag. And again I can’t say this enough, shame on them, shame on them. If that owner really has a daughter named Haley, I just hope that daughter does not grow up to be like her scamming parents.

Anyway, no point in writing a whole entry again about them. They might even appreciate the gesture of us giving them publicity. After all, negative publicity is still publicity for them. But I’m glad though that the words have already spread about their malicious actions. If I am not wrong, a few thousand bag lovers already know about what they did. JS says that is good enough justice for now (stop lurking and start posting, girl!! *hugs*).

Sooo with that latest update, let’s now move onto better things to talk about. Have you ever had problems with what bags to carry for formals? Well you must already know by now that I have. If I had it my way, I’d carry a huge chunky bag (helloo, pack rat!). But of course with all the social graces that I had picked up *cough cough, choke! hehe*, I figured it’s time to pick out more “appropriate” bags to use for evening formals.

TOD’S. This Tod’s bamboo black satin mini evening barrel bag is made of out shiny black satin, and embellished with Swarovski crystals on the side. I am really liking this. (As some of you might already know, I had a semi obsession about “formal” purses at one point, which made me go for that steal of a Prada satin clutch :D) This black satin bag measures 9.45″ x 2.76″ and is priced at US$495 at Forzieri.com

Another bag that I am liking is that of JIMMY CHOO’s. The Jimmy Choo satin cosmo mini in rich purple is just so pretty. The color itself makes me want the bag all the more, and that ornate jewelled flower “brooch” makes the perfect accent to this bag without really overpowering it (because of it’s small size). Ok enough talk about evening bags before I further get convinced that I need yet another one (the bags are actually a bit much price-wise, and they don’t really get plenty mileage unless you are a socialite or a celeb with all these parties to attend on a nightly basis– both of which I am neither. I live a pretty boring, social-less life, remember? *snicker*).

I need to get back on track to work on my website. Confession: I was actually up the whole night last night, trying to figure out how to fix the darned thing. Thanks to my super irresponsible webmonkey who just abandoned his post as webmaster for the company, leaving my website in limbo. Ugh. I swear I’d have his head on a stick if I can. Now I am forced to learn how to use Dreamweaver, and *SCREAM* I am soooo frustrated with it!!!! I really will get the “new look” up by end of the month. This HAS to be the deadliest deadline. Hehe if there is anyone out there who would like to do pro-bono work (hehehe bag hag charity!!) to finish the site (and get credit for it here), let me know 😀 *tsk, here goes the freeloading hag in me again :-)* Or better yet, I’ll give whoever can help me finish this site a cute Prada pochette. How’s that! *hehehe*

TRESOR MAKATI UPDATE:

LOUIS VUITTON. The cutest Cherry Blossom Papillon bag (brown monogram canvas and pink flowers). I looove this bag. In fact, I had wished that I had kept my own. This Cherry Blossom papillon has already been discontinued and was a collaboration between artist Takashi Murakami and LV. Measures 10.5″L x 5″ diameter width. The handles are short (not long enough for shoulder carry). The bag’s cowhide trims are still fairly light. The interior of the bag is very clean, as this was hardly used by the owner. I can tell you this much, I’d buy this bag if you are an LV afficionado. I still have my own Cherry blossom in the cream and red print, and even if I don’t use it, I doubt if I will sell it. It’s a collector’s piece. This will also make for a nice first LV bag *I’d choose this bag over the Pandora speedy coz it’s just such a “happy” bag :)* And it will come with the lock, keys, clochette, and dustbag. P.S. I know this is a little off topic, but of course I was doing searches of sneakers on the side. The other day when I met up with the Metro gals, we all went around the mall and I tried on a pair of Puma sneakers (what is it with me and Puma sneakers these days?! Midlife crisis? *snicker* So I like wearing sneakers like the teeners. SoooOoo? *hehee*). Well anyway I really liked the black-and-purple pair I tried on, but they were too tight on me. Now, guess what I found 🙂
