TRAVELOG: My Paris, November 2008

We stayed at Hotel Astor, which was really a wonderful hotel– a short walk from all the wonderful stores at Saint Honoré.

My room was nice and sweet, and had a nice window which I kept open at night– I looove the weather in Paris at this time.

Everyday, we’d pass by St Honoré 🙂 Some shots of the main window at Hermes.*Gulp* Paisley birkin. I’m so curious to know if the show pieces are ever sold to clients. Or maybe they end up in the “museum” inside the FSH store.

Croc covered hardbound books. How luxe is that!

The inlaid MOP furnitures look very “Maranao” (very Filipino), although I believe this window pays tribute to 2008 being Hermes’ year of the Indiennes.

Unfortunately, the other windows were covered because I believe they’re being prepared for Christmas. I wish I had seen what the rest looked like, but during my brief stay there, the windows were still covered up.

More on Paris in the next few posts. I gotta get going for now. Have to check on the ongoing construction for our new store. I’ve been stressing over the construction because my aircon contractor’s been messing up the ceilings and delaying work which in turn affects my main contractor’s job. It’s so frustrating!!!! *Screams* Sorry I am harping here, but I need to vent.

Seriously, thank God for Paris. The few days that I was there made me relax a bit. Thanks CV for making my Parisian trip wonderful and “flawless”. It’s back to reality for this baghag, for now!

  1. Gak! The paisley Birkin is an abomination. 🙁 Sorry, Mrs. T. Just my two cents’ worth.

    Love your hotel room, BTW.

  2. wow. i wonder how much those birkins cost. and although the lines are classic, the color’s aren’t. When is SSI bringing in Hermes here in the PI? (not that I’m planning to buy a birkin. I’ll only buy a birkin if i drive a bmw, but no, I only drive a civic and it would be wierd for my bag to be more expensive than my car.)

  3. most of the bags that are used for the window if not all are made just for the windows in st. honore…..

sometimes they are not completely done……..in the inside….i`ve heard

because of the colour fading or distress from the sun……

hermes will not allow to have a very important client buy a window piece as the quality is of the utmost importance!!
