Travelog: Mrs. T does Moscow!

First off, I want to greet my DB (aka my sponsor) a HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🙂

Day 1 in Moscow. Fantastic!! I am so excited to freeze my buns off hehehe. On a serious note, can I just say that this is by far, the coldest place I’ve ever been to? Hehehe yes, it is. It’s soooo cold… and I’m loving it 🙂

As I mentioned earlier, we are currently staying at the Ritz Carlton, Moscow.

It’s a beautiful hotel, and it’s centrally located. Here are some shots of the hotel and our room

Lobby of the hotel. The service isn’t the best though, no porters available at the time we checked in. Luckily we only had 1 luggage each so we were not really inconvenienced to lug our own suitcases to our rooms.

This is our room. Huge!

I’m a happy camper. I love lumpy beds. The room is really spacious.

The bathroom

(it has a bath tub too, complete with special “bath” packages that the hotel’s bath “butler” can personally prepare for us hahaha. I like this job description… “So what do you do for a living?” Me: “Oh, I’m a bath butler at the Ritz in Moscow…” hahahaha has a nice ring to it 🙂

Our room has a partial view of the main streeet, Tverskaya. We have 2 balconies.

Pretty cool, but I dared not open the window because it was below 0 degrees outside!!

We all decided to take a walk after we had settled into our rooms. Our hotel is just a stone’s throw away from Red Square.
Matryoshka doll bazaar by the entrance. We felt so poor because we hadn’t exchanged money yet. *Hahahaha* and these peeps don’t take credit cards 😀

I feel sorry for that absolutely adorable monkey wearing jeans, ski boots (they look like it), and a thick puffy jacket.

But at least the owner dressed up Mr. Monkey warmly 😀 The owner also had an eagle with him.

A parting shot of my first official post in Moscow 🙂

Hope you guys enjoyed this one. More on Moscow and where we ate for dinner tomorrow 🙂

x

Mrs. T
