Travelog: Last post of Bangkok + Bag Review *finally!*

We had dinner at Central Mall once more. Passed by a local bag store called Jacob. We sorta had a good laugh about it because DB thought it was Marc Jacobs. Of course DB doesn’t really know anything about bags, but he “tried” to act like he knew 🙂 *trademark smarty-alleckedness of my family hahaha* Hehehe, well we can’t really fault the guy from trying hahaha, but I of course, being the jaded baghag biatch, couldn’t stop laughing! *Muwahaha what a bully I am! haha Bad girl!*

Before we ate, we bought movie tickets– we were watching Sunshine at the mall after dinner. It’s sooo expensive to watch movies in Bangkok! 160 Baht per head!!

As for dinner, we had already decided the night before that we were going to try AKA, this Japanese restaurant located also in the mall. There was a looong line when we got there but luckily, DH went ahead and listed our party down, or we’d have to wait for dinner again. And we were already Hungry (with a capital H!)

This place is most famous for teppanyaki dishes and for the BEEF! We were really excited because they serve wagyu. But much to my disappointment and to my DB’s disappointment, wagyu beef was already sold out!!! *Though we were disappointed, I didn’t realize we were in for a treat anyway!*

Enoki mushrooms wrapped in baconSuper yummmy!! I know my cholesterol level will shoot up after this, but what the heck. There’s no point in living if you can’t enjoy food this good 🙂

GindaraOur attempt at balancing our meal *cough healthy food* hehehe…

Chicken teppanyaki with veggies
Australian beef teppanyaki (THIS WAS SOOOOOO GOOOOOD)

Australian beef stripes (I don’t quite know the difference between this dish and the one above *except for the way the beef was cut*, but both were fantastic!!)

I really can’t find the right words to describe our dinner– it was just almost too perfect. And oh did I mention the bill? We spent something like 4,000 Baht only for the dinner– and we are talking all meat! We also had soup and rice with our dinner, plus we did a double order of the enoki mushroom 🙂

If you do go to Bangkok and hang around Central Mall, you need to try AKA. The food was really impressive– the beef was topnotch, and we haven’t even tried Wagyu there yet! Australian Beef is very, very good! *I am already drooling just thinking about that meal!!*

We left Bangkok with wonderful food memories, and I left Bangkok with this in mind– Siam Paragon Mall is by far the very best mall I’ve ever been to. It beats South Coast Plaza Mall and San Francisco Westfield Mall by a mile! Talk about luxury!! Hands down, the winner is in Bangkok 🙂

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND, BAGHAGS!! Oh and here’s a bag that caught my eye while checking out Neiman Marcus. 🙂 *gotta surf AND blog, right?*

Valentino Braided Handle Bag. I love the color. It’s a little fleshy pink color, which is sooo nice for summer and works as a wonderful alternative to white. Braided handles are so nice– from Bottega Veneta to Prada/ Miu Miu. And this bag is certainly no exception. Then there are 2 little front pockets too. The detailing on this bag is pretty remarkable, and the price is definitely reflective of that. Priced at US$1,695.

Celine Calfskin Leather Hobo. I like that there is a certain “rawness” to the bag. But to call the bag “raw”? Definitely not. I love the way the leather was “nipped” on the sides and that the whole bag slouches rather nicely. It certainly lacks no sophistication because of its simple design– it certainly can’t be called pretentious 🙂 Bag comes in brown too. Priced at US$1,200.

P.S. to the new MAC user, I have nooo idea what hyperlink is 😀 Can you describe to me what it does so I can tell you if I see that on my computer?
