Yay! I’m in Abu Dhabi Doo 🙂 🙂 🙂
The flight from Manila to Abu Dhabi was a rather turbulent one though. I actually saw lightning in the distance too (that was a first for me, so pardon this panicky baghag)! Other than that, the flight was good– although I wish I slept throughout the flight!!
Etihad is apparently the only airline with full- recline seats that flies out of the Philippines.
Business class was not full tonight, so despite my being seated on the aisle seat, I was able to get some privacy. Didn’t really matter though because I only slept for 2 hours. I was wide awake the rest of the time so I just decided to watch Troy (WooHoo Eye candy- Eric Bana + Brad Pitt = Mile High Heaven hahaha) and Karate Kid.
Oh and I was weird. I slept after having a few glasses of champagne and woke up around 1:00 am to have my dinner 🙂 This is what sets this airline apart from the others. You can have your meals anytime and in between, the kitchen has a few cool snacks available too!
I had Truffle and Mushroom Risotto.
You know what they say about airline food right? It usually sucks. This risotto, however, is really an exception. I felt like I was having a nice meal in an Italian restaurant. Those sundried tomatoes were wonderful too, and oh my, the bread? I ate all of it. No I wasn’t hungry at all (honest!!), but because the food was good, I ate everything on my plate *and I’m sure at some point in this trip I’ll end up regretting eating too much haha*.
Anyway, I’m at the lounge now and am just waiting for my turn to get my free massage, courtesy of Etihad to business class passengers! Now this is the way to travel 🙂 *How I wish I can travel business all the time! Hehehe*
