There are always so many things to look forward to each time I go to a Tod’s presentation in Milan. For one, they always hold it at Villa Necchi, the setting of the movie “I Am Love”– the villa is historic and beautiful. It’s always a nice “respite” from the more industrial- looking parts of the city of Milan. During Tod’s presentations, you not only get to see the new pieces from their latest collection, you also get a glimpse of the creativity of the design team of the house by way of their “fantasy” bags.
They have used the iconic D bag as the “base” bag and from there, the design team creates something very intricate and elaborate, to showcase their talent in “dressing up” the D bag. They have contracted the services of the House of Lesage for the particular embroidery and these are the products of the collaboration and the Tod’s team’s creative geniuses. Oh, and there were matching gommini loafers as well! It was really impressive to see the handiwork up close. I hope the photos do them justice!!
