Thebaghag: Jetlagging in San Francisco

What a waste of another day. I am here, in San Francisco, and STILL jet lagging!!! 🙁 I know, it’s sad to be in another town and NOT see town. I’ve, for the most part been in my room or in our kitchen– yes, sleeping OR eating. I woke up real early today *big surprise there*, not really because of jetlag, though. I woke up to the loud, loud leaf blower machine that seemed like it was “charging” towards my room– rats, it was the gardener. I thought I was having a nightmare! Phew.

So maybe I should thank Mr.D, our gardener, for “regularizing” my schedule. NOT! While Mr.D’s been lovely– he’s been our gardener here for some 20+ years (isn’t that scary– we’ve had this place for over 20 years now!!), I still am not happy about that noise he’s been bringing around every week hahaha. *Harumph* It’s friggin’ noise pollution, no offense to him. I think the city needs to put in place an ordinance banning the use of these noisy leaf blowers. *Mrs.T biatches once again* Pffft, that’s what lack of sleep can do!! *Grumbles*

In the last 2 days, I’ve only seen the ffg (aside from the rooms in our house):
1. Gas station
2. Car Wash
3. Department of Motor Vehicles
4. Safeway (grocery)
5. Bank
6. PhoHoa (our Vietnamese restaurant haunt– which is a good 20 min drive from our place)

It’s pretty pathetic. According to my DH, age is catching up with me *Nice try dude, but that won’t rain on my parade hahaha*. To which I retorted, “I’ve been jetsetting, babe.” *Muwahaha what an arrogant statement hahahaha! Thwaps myself!* DH shook his head and said, “nah, it’s age, ‘babe’ ” and then he snickers. Tsk *evil glare* 😉

Anyway, yeah it’s been rather sad not to have spent the days out and about, exploring new areas (although we are creatures of habit and always head to our old haunts– so much for exploring new areas hehe). I can’t wait to go downtown though. I miss Union Square, Hermes (ok, here’s where DM goes “don’t you get tired of going to Hermes? You just came from Hermes Paris, now you still want to go to Hermes SF?”… Mom, no I don’t get tired of Hermes.. hahaha who says I’m buying anyway? And whoever gets tired of browsing? It’s freeee!!! hehe), Chanel, and of course, the lovely folks at Goyard 🙂

However, here’s where it gets sticky. With all those places I want to visit, my wallet is NOT prepared to spend a dime on this trip– I need to save up to pay for this upcoming venture I’ve been sporadically mentioning. I have to do some serious sacrificing or that project would never push through *SOB and that would be bad and sad*

I’m even going to have to say no to:

Dolce and Gabbana Patchwork Snakeskin Satchel on sale for US$1,799 at eluxury.comOk just kidding. That bag’s just downright heinous. But I guess someone could like it… But eeeyikes!

Or wait, THIS Louis Vuitton damier azur inspired bag by L.A.M.B
Gwen Stefani, what were you thinking? LV+ Goyard= L.A.M.B.??? Tsk.

Ai-yay-yay! Ok, this is sooo not something I wanna blog about… I’ll slug it out with them bugly bag makers… No more bugly bags, puhlease!!

I better get changed now. Today’s actually the first day I woke up “early”. I need to make me some noodles for breakfast (it’s actually lunchtime now). Hooo boy I’ll have a HUGE gut when I get back to Manila for sure… 🙁

Hopefully I get to go somewhere interesting today other than to another government building. That way I can take nice photos once again and share with you all.

P.S. gracec: I’d love to meet! Email me at tresormakati@gmail.com and let’s coordinate when and where we can meet up 🙂 🙂 *haven’t we met before in Manila?? :D* I am due to go to the city soon– after my jetlag wears off haha
