Thebaghag is down and out + Fall 2007 Bag Review

Hi peeps! Here goes my health again! I am once more sick– I have this dreadful cold that’s been causing headaches. It must be the weather (that and stress and fatigue… because of a new venture *teehee will reveal what it is, as soon as everything is confirmed :D*).

Anyway, I’m not about to transmit my dreadful state to you all, so I am posting some nice photos from Fall/ Winter 2007 bags collection to sorta keep my *cough* spirits up 🙂

Bottega Veneta’s intrecciato hobo with details. I love the hobo as this is already a staple in the BV bag collection. But Tomas Maier always seems to go the extra mile in redesigning the classic by adding details– it used to be grommets, top stitching, and embossing. And now this. The bag has different shades of the same color, and seems to have some type of cutout detail. Very nice!

Bottega Veneta’s intrecciato bowler satchel with a 2-colored “stripe”. What a refreshing look this is. I love that the stripe in the middle “pop out” of the dark color of the bag. That stripe totally works the bag! Love it!!

Fendi dreadlock and plume clutch *Muwahahaha& Sorry I don’t know how else to describe the bag. It does look like dreadlocks. In fact, it reminded me of this black dog back at our place in SF– I used to see this black dog with braids (yes, braids!). Too cute, if you walk it, but NOT if you wear it as a bag 😀 Although, this bag has character….

Another Fendi clutch that caught my eye is this colorful number. It seems that designers are doing patchwork, and Fendi is no exception to this “trend” if that’s what you can call it. I love it, it’s very “mod”. And we know how I love all these colorful bags too, so this is quite interesting 🙂 However I somehow feel this is more of a summer clutch than one for Fall… But then again, it’s nice to have a little picker-upper number for those darker outfits that Fall seems to inspire out of *a number of, although not all* designers.

Fendi distressed leather clutch (?). I wonder what this is made of. Leather? The texture looks real interesting.

Whoa, va va va voom Dior! Love this magenta weave bag!! It does look a bit familiar… Nancy Gonzalez weave bag, perhaps? But nevertheless this is a wow bag, isn’t it? Meeee likeeeeeey!

But so far, no Fendi “wonder” from Fall. BV has some interesting exotic bags though. Dior has that nice magenta bag (I’m sure it’s gonna be sold for a song too). *Chuckle* Bottom line, we won’t spend so much on Fendi haha. Think Chanel this season… and Hermes Lindy haha*

P.S. To my comment poster, RG: I would’ve loved to post your comment, but I think we might attract unnecessary attention, if ya know what I mean ! But I totally agree with you, what a waste! *wink!*

Can you believe it, baghags? It’s already MARCH!!!

xx

  1. loida: I left a comment for you already on my HALE BOB post.
here it is again: dinner for about 50 people not too formal and chinese? I’d say try Summer Palace of Edsa Shangrila Hotel. OR better yet, the CHinese restaurant at the New Hyatt Hotel in Manila. Super good food! Haircut/ color= try the salon at Shangrila Mall called STUDIO 546 at the 5th floor of the Mall, owned by the Religioso sisters Yvette and Chalk. They have awesome pedicures too :)And moderately priced for excellent service!

  2. thanks so much! … i thought you werent able to reply to it. but thanks though. i’ll look up those two restaurants. i always try and look up that studio 546. but im looking for a look that’s classic.. i dont really feel for those new hair styles where the hair is like shredded all the way through… ( did that make sense? ) haha anyway.. thanks again!

  3. loida: Hmm.. i dont understand what you meant about studio 546. they have really good hairstylist and colorists there. Studio 546 has very experienced people to cut hair… but of course unless you’d prefer ricky reyes?? Ricky reyes is dead on cheap and light on the wallet, but i’d never have them change my hairstyle…
