Thebaghag in Hong Kong + DaphP’s new show!

Hey peeps! I’m back from the land of tai tais and high flying financiers *hehehe*. And I’m answering texts from my work phone again :D. I decided not to bring my phone to HK because I actually needed some peace and quiet (to shop hahaha). And I was able to get some good bonding time with my Mum 🙂 So, peeps who texted me over the weekend, sorry but I didn’t get any of your messages. Soweeee!!

But it’s back to the real world for me again. And ugh today’s a pretty sucky day too. For starters, I don’t feel well at all. I have a huge headache which stems from the typical early 30s (yes I’m in my 30s. THERE. An admission of age from me) female biological baggage *muwahaha ok I’m not about to play traitor to my own kind so let me park that description right there haha*. I guess this is really age catching up with me. But my mood picked up somehow after I *ahem* socialclimbed (after a few good weeks of being an hermit haha). Today’s event has to be mentioned!

Today was the press launch of Daphne Paez’s new show at People’s Palace. Yes, DaphP has a new show!! *woohoo!!* It’s called Proudly Filipina and it will begin to air on July 5, and will show every Thursday at 8:30pm at QTV 🙂 Today’s launch included the featured personalities like MMPPI big boss and Lifestyle Asia editor-in-chief, Sari Yap; Marie Claire Magazine editor-in-chief Myrza Sison, and Ms. International Precious Quigaman. Other personalities include Pinky Tobiano, Loren Legarda, and the Mt. Everest team of three. I can’t wait to watch the show! If you hags have time, do tune in to Daphne’s show, every Thursday 8:30pm 🙂

Ok now, let’s talk HK. I ended up NOT bringing my phone to Hong Kong. The one thing that kept coming back to “haunt” was the lively windows of Fendi. I love that they’ve decided to do all the funky metallic colors (at least they aren’t neon haha but then again, I probably wouldn’t mind either). I especially am so in love with the “electric” wallets. Too bad the wallets only came in red at the moment. No blue or orange or pink yet (I wonder if they’ll come out with pink actually). *Sob*. But ’tis ok. I think I am done with wallets. I like to let my wallet sorta live a long life haha. Here are some shots of the store windows for you to ogle 😀
I had to make the usual round at Hermes (not like there’s anything I can afford). Nothing interesting there. They don’t even have Lindy stocks! I guess the Lindy is really doing well *hmph that has to be a self-serving comment coz I have the bag hahaha* :D. There were a few bolides, but no Kelly bags. Oh and there is also something for the label-loving mamas who wish to have their babies wear the best labels (what a way to start loving designer brands– haha start em young! )– Hermes baby booties!!
And oh yeah more importantly, Hermes will have a nice exhibition of scarves at Pacific Place (called Once Upon a Silk). It will show from June 29 to July 2. Too bad I was not able to catch it 🙁 If you know anyone who will be in HK during that time, tell em about the exhibit! It occupies a large space at the Mall!

Oh and did I mention that there’s a sale (a big big big sale) at Lane Crawford? Henry Beguelin‘s jigsaw puzzle bag is on sale. I finally got to see the bag up close. I thought it was a pretty bag in photos, but in person, it wasn’t really all that great. Soooo… this baghag didn’t “bag” anything in Lane Crawford either. Boy was I good with my moolah or what! 😀

Anyway let me park my typing for now. I think I need to get charged up again (meaning EAT). Time to chow. More on HK tomorrow 🙂 Oh yikes, looks like the social calendar is filling up again this week! JackieT is reprising her role as the socialclimbing baghag once again 🙂 Stay tuned! *muwahaha*

P.S. Thanks so much, PTR for the chocolates. Girl, you know how fat I can become with chocolates, and yet you still had to let me try them! You’ll be pleased to know that DH is eyeing them hahaha 😀 Thanks thanks many thanks!!

P.P.S. To the 2 hags I met in HK at Landmark and to the other hag I met at H&M in Central, A special greeting goes out to you three 🙂 I was happy to have met you three and glad you came up to me to say hi! I can’t believe I wasn’t able to ask your names. Please leave me a note/ comment on my blog with your names *wont publish them*. Nice to meet you in Hong Kong 🙂

xx
