The Semi- all clear + More Bag Reviews

Whee, I know you will all be disappointed to know that I don’t have a tumor on my throat *muwahahaha weeevil*, but my throat and all those tubes (whatever they’re called) are SWOLLEN and realllly red. It is confirmed. How? My Doc inserted this fiber optic camera from my nose, down to my throat (ugh ugh ugh– no anesthesia). UGH. Thank goodness for the Ipod shuffle which my dear friend CS got me for my birthday (I know, nice loot eh?). That was something I looked forward to using.

So here’s the real score. The Bag Hag, Mrs. T, is suffering from hyperacidity and has reflux– the acid burns my throat, which has been causing chronic sore throat. I have been switched to a different antibiotic, and this time, I hope it cures the infection. I have a week to get better, which means, the less I talk, the better (and believe me, THIS is a sacrifice for me cause I am the queen of gab *muwahaha*)

So, of course it was cause for celebration on the other end of the famille. We ended up in a Japanese restaurant by Pasay Road (on top of the Love Garden Florists and Ralph’s Wine *what a combination haha*). The restaurant is called Sandaya.

The place reminded me of “The Old Spaghetti House– meets- a- Sports grill” *hehehe, it’s true*. This place is apparently known for its shabu- shabu (not the soup based one). So, we ordered the Beef shabu- shabu, (damn, there was this spicy sauce that’s awesome, but since I should be abstaining from anything “acidic”, I am forbidden to even taste anything spicy. How sad. I really abused my body *sniff*)

We ordered curry potato and german sausages (one of the house specialties), and I also ordered Yukke (this is Raw beef with Raw egg– both bad! There are potentially 5 different illnesses that I can contract by eating this *muwahahaha and I decided to take the chance– hey man, life is a gamble sometimes hahaha*).

The food was not bad, and it’s worth an experience. I’m tired of the old fare anyway, so this is a welcome change 🙂 Dinner over, we ended up heading to Milky Way (DH complained that Sandaya with its grills was sooo hot, that he needed to “cool off”). Of course I can’t have halo-halo (a truly yummy Filipino dessert). It’s cold. Drat. So all I need was stare at DH and his parental *sniff I was drooling and almost ordered one*.

So last night post dinner, I was surfing the net again (so what else is new), and was checking out more bags (and really, so what else is new!).

Caterina Lucchini made this apricot- colored washed leather bag (the color is too cute). I love the simplicity of the bag, with only a ribbon as embellishment. This is I think, a really good bag for summer 🙂 Priced at US$320 at Forzieri.

Gabs

Also at Forzieri is this is the G3 convertible canvas and leather handbag. Oh I am really, really liking this!! This is a 3-in-1 handbag that can be transformed into 2 other styles– from a flat tote to a satchel (!!!!) This is really pretty awesome. I think I will be ordering this particular bag in black leather trim with aqua accents. Priced just at US$189 (for “3” bags!!!). The bag also comes 2 other colors– applegreen/white/aqua accent, and orange/white/aqua accent. *WooHoo New discovery!!!! And, I think I can afford this! Muwahahaha… without touching the kids’ educational fund*

PradaOh great, another Prada bag that I like *snicker*). I was thinking this bag would make for the perfect diaper bag for the baghag mom 😀 Measuring 15L x 10H x 5W, the size is perfect. Plus, it’s black microfiber– meaning, can’t see the dirt and it’s light! Priced at US$792.

I must confess. Forzieri is my new fave site 😀 And there are MORE bags there (Gucci, Hogan, Miu Miu, Tod’s, Fendi… Sigh *dream*)!!!

Anyway, time to say bye for now. Gotta take my DT to school. I can’t say this enough. I love being a bag hag, but I love being a Mom one million times more:D

P.S. HAGS! News time!! My old tresormakati.blogspot.com site is back up and running. Whatcha guys think, do I move back there, or maintain this site instead? I do love the name “baghag” 😀 *even if I just pretend to be one* I appreciate your thoughts. Please leave them on the comments page.

WooohooooO it’s Friday!! Date nighttttt!! Have a great one tonight, hags 😀

  1. Hi Mrs. T,

I was blog-hopping last week and fate brought me to your site!! Your site is a real eyecandy for all the bag-lovers out there!! It took me quite some time to read (and drool at) some of your past entries…and it took another 3 days before I found this new site (by reading the seldom-read User Profile page)!

Anyway, my two-cents — you can just post an I-have-moved-to-a-new-site message in your old site and keep this one!!! Baghag is a reaaaal nice name!! 🙂

I’d love to join your brag-a-bag collection!!! But I’m still exhausting my barely there creative juice to come up with a winning entry!! Happy weekend! 🙂

  2. Hi Mrs. T!

Your story about the tube going down the insides of your throat gave me pounding headaches!!! I have polyps in my nose and i just pray to God that I wouldn’t undergo that same procedure for the rest of my life!!! But reading your blogs convinced me that it didn’t hurt much… No anaesthesia?!? betchabyegollyWOW!!!

  3. ellen: Thanks for writing! Means mucho to me! I don’t have an awesome collection, because really, there are way more people here (who read this blog) who are much more deserving of the title “bag hag”. I’m a wannabe though 😀 I hope you enjoy reading the blog– I am quite shallow, aren’t I? *guffaw*

Miss J: Oh my, I do hope you don’t have to go through that endoscopy. It was not really painful, but the right word used is UGH. Because that was how it felt 🙁 I will keep my fingers crossed you don’t need the procedure. Save you the emotional scar *that plus your nostrils getting bigger– I felt mine did haha* 😉

  4. Hi Mrs. T !!! I am glad you’re okay! Baghag (blogspot) name is very Mrs. T!!!

By the way I placed an order too for the metallic speedy and papillon!!!

Should I pick the gold papillon and silver speedy or the other way around???

    Thanks!
