The Lanvin Kentucky- Kansas bag

Good golly, I can tell you that the advent of technology has brought havoc to my financial life *muwahaha*. Can you imagine how technology became such a detriment to my life? Case in point. So you guys already know I’m still sorta under the weather, hence my self-imposed ban to go out of the house. Then how on earth is it possible then for me to incur new debt even without the internet? I swear I am a danger to myself *guffaw*.

Trackback: there I was in bed, TEXTING a young baghag friend NS, about the older Lanvin Kansas. I knew she had one because I saw her once with it. I even remember saying that it was not really a bag I’d see myself getting. Fastforward to today: NS came by this morning to drop off my Lanvin Kansas tote in brown. It is preowned but ahhhh I love it!!! I know people are divided on this bag because of the “plain” style, but it’s so easy to carry– it’s an open tote with a zippered pouch. The leather is incredibly soft like a Bottega Veneta (in fact it feels even softer!). So I was finally convinced.

Yes, thebaghag, Mrs.T ate her words. And choked on it. Am I the only one finally enjoying the beauty of this bag? Because darnit, all the other celebs(photo: Bruno Press) have liked it way before I did *I mean, who the hell am I anyway?! hahaha*. But well now, it caught up with me coz I’m loving it!!

So now this– I did mention a few posts ago that I will let one of the 2 Lanvin totes go, right? Well I’ve decided. I will let the black Lanvin Kentucky go. Because although that bag is my 2nd black bag that I have used and bought all on my own, (and the 1st black bag being the LV mizi vienna which is likewise no longer in my possession), I have to let it go. I tried to be a black bag person, hags. But I just don’t think I am cut out to carry black bags right now. Maybe in a few years, but now… I think not.

I have though, carried this Lanvin Kentucky tote ONCE. Yep, you read that right, just once! Boy, remember my purse ban? It sure came back with a vengeance. 🙁 This Lanvin Kentucky tote currently sells at Barneys for US$1,545 (and tax isn’t even imputed into that amount yet). And I will let this bag go for Php 56,000. You save 30%! The bag measures 14″L x 15″H x 5.5″W (expandable) and is made from remarkably soft leather (you can almost roll this bag up and use it as a pillow!). There are no visible marks or major scratches or tears in any part of the bag and is still in the same condition as the day I had bought it. There are 2 interior pockets and also an equally soft leather cosmetic pouch. There are 2 belt strappy thingies that enclose with a “lock” in brushed silver hardware. There is also a nice Lanvin logo pendant hanging from the bag 🙂 *hehehe, after all, if we pay a pretty sum for a bag, we better have that “evidence” it’s designer from the outside! *guffaw guffaw, proof that I am a label whore hahaha* This bag is excellent for packrats and is a really good alternative to a YSL Muse. I chose this over the Muse.

I am on a purchase high *oh Lawrd*. And I have to be good. Because I really have to open my closet again and check which one needs to go *before the bills start piling up muwahahaha*. I am seriously contemplating on letting the LV Damier Alma go, so stay tuned 😀

P.S. So did anyone end up getting that Prada Canapa Bauletta bag (like this style– but only in canvas and leather hehe.. no croc) at the Greenbelt boutique for 28K+? 😀 Share. share!!
