Sickly Baghag + Metrowear + Bags

Sorry I haven’t really be online much these days. I was sooooo stressed out!! To the point that I even lost my voice (AGAIN). And my phaynolaryngeal infection seems to be back *boy will my doctor have a field day with me when she sees me this coming week*. I never go back to my doc when I’m well (can anyone honestly tell me that they go back to see their docs even if they’re already well????). Ugh, now I’m back on an anti-inflammatory drug to just reduce the inflammation of my larynx. I really croak when I speak and it hurts to speak too (punishment for someone with a gift of gab haha). Darnit I better get seriously checked or this might already be a precursor to throat cancer *shock*.. Ok I am somewhat of a hypochondriac. I looove doing these little internet searches on symptoms but then I’m just way too chicken poop to go to the doctor *well darnit because I always get reprimanded like a child!*. Next week I ought to see her. But this weekend I will already start taking my previous medications… *I give a new meaning to the label, ‘drug addict’ hahaha… how sad :D*

Anyway, enough health problem discussions. I wanted first off to say thanks to these baghags for having been so thoughtful all these months (and years). Ms.S sent me a huge basket of mangoes to which I have been devouring with glee *yes, with glee!*, and EAI got me these funky lil pillows which really gave me quite a good laugh, especially since this was a pretty terrible week (too many things on my schedule plus going through a pretty unnerving experience– but let me not delve into that anymore since it got straightened out somehow). S and E, Thank you so much again for putting a smile to my face 🙂 I try my best not to ever be haughty even if I get faced with difficult situations. One smile can really change the way you look at your day (and life)!! That’s soo true!

So last week, I attended Metro Wear (Metro Magazine’s event), where I saw old colleagues and friends. Concurrent to the Metrowear show was the event of Tatler. (There was also the Greenbelt 4 preview party yesterday which I just had to skip… I was really feeling quite bad). Also, I have this strange reservation about attending evening events lately *whaaaat??? Mrs.T no longer wants to socialclimb? Muwahaha*. I just don’t like getting “dressed up” because I’m wayy too lazy!! Hmm… Is this what getting old is all about? *Chuckle then I’m getting old indeed!!* But I always try to come and support my friends’ projects 🙂 The designers that showed their works are Rajo Laurel, Rhett Eala, Mitzi Quilendrino, Amina Aranaz ( she was vavavoom gooooorgeousssss!!!), Arnel Papa, Louis Claparols, and Tan Gan by Solenn among others. *Apologies if I wasn’t able to mention everyone, but I seem to have some kind of amnesia already… pls help me remember other designers…* Turnout for the event was good. I got to sit with old friends ST and BP who are now both happily married, and even saw our old family friend ZT *whom I rarely see out at night– but since they are the show’s sponsors, her sis-in-law “dragged” her to go haha*.

I loved how Aranaz bags were presented, and also loved the color that Rhett used (bleuuuuuu)! There was a slight drizzle during the show, and oh lest I forget to mention, the show was also the day I debuted my new bag– my new bag really got “baptized!!!” *I know, I know, ANOTHER new bag? yes yes, we aren’t going to Paris, so there’s no new bag in store for me in Japan, knowing how expensivo they are in that country haha*. I’ll reveal what she is in due time 🙂 I think we are all still “fresh” from the Lindy to even be introduced to yet another family member *muwahaha*, but this much I can tell you. ST and I were laughing because it was raining and my bag was getting wet. And I just cowered over and covered my bag *muwahaha pathetic!!! Mrs.T is a certified bag slave!*, to the point that I even contemplated on putting the bag underneath my chair!!!

Apres the show, I also ran into the ultimate baghag, Tara Tambunting 😀 *if you hags missed the feature on her in a leading newsdaily some two weeks ago, read this– TaraT got to wear LV clothes that were flown in especially for HER! Talk about being a Winner! WooHoo!!!*. TaraT was carrying a beautiful bubblegum pink Chanel caviar bowler. Yummmmyyyy…

Speaking of yummy bags, here’s something I found on neimanmarcus.com that is quite interesting. Zac Posen’s Leather flap Lola Bag. I think I am very attracted to the bag mainly because of the color and the contrasting colored leather piping. It’s really a striking color, although I don’t know if it’s as striking in real life. Priced at US$1,295 and actually featured last February in Harper’s Bazaar.

Here’s a very mod looking Etro bag. I can’t really decide if I like it or not. I feel funny looking at the bag (like those belt buckles are two big *gulp* boobies staring back at me… hehe reminiscent of a Botkier.. only flatter!! *sorry for being so graphic! PG-13!!*). It’s cute but I don’t think I’d be paying US$1,300 for that bag…

TRESORMAKATI.COM update: Here is a list of new bags to come:

Chanel caviar beige *double interior flap* medium 2.55 (still very new, but no authenticity card) priced at Php 95,000.

Prada black bowler, Gucci caramel bullet bag, Chanel white classic tote with CC stitching in front, Chanel black chain-print satchel, LV monogram looping MM, among others. Most of these bags still need to be photographed. Thanky for your patience 🙂

P.S. Please just send me a text message (+63916) 758-0857, instead of calling me because I really won’t pick up the phone– my voice is really GONE. And I really can’t force myself to talk 🙁 It’s really THIS bad. I can’t believe it.. I’ve been sick all these months of 2007, and it is still just March!! There are a good 9 more months to go… Tsk… I NEED a vacance!!!

P.P.S. Belated Happy Birthday to my funky DSIL yesterday 🙂 She is treating us for dinner next week *I better go on a diet this weekend hahaha* Pssst, I’m preparing to eat a LOT 😀 *ding ding ding! Gotta make up for my loss of voice hahaha*

That’s all for now! Have a good weekend hags! I ought to get rest and just NOT talk for a whole weekend. Baghag MS— we’ll need to do a raincheck on our dinner because this baghag’s voice is just outta here. Have a great time in Paris with your DH 🙂 *I’m jealous! My DH won’t be joining my family and I to Japan on this trip because something with his folks came up 🙁 SOB*

xx

  1. Hi to the Bag Hag!

I still haven’t been able to purchase my own Little Miss Marc tote, do you think you can help me out? Any ideas as to where’s the nearest country/area or what’s the best online store to purchase a Little Miss Marc tote?
    Please let me know, thanks!

All the best to your fantabulous blog! – Lyo

  2. Hey Mrs. T! Glad we saw you there, to hell with those dirty old hags, hahahahahah 🙂

I was surely looking for a spot where you can hide your bag from the rain shower!

    Such a lovely bag! 😉
