Puppy Love + Dog Talk!

A little slice of my family life for the weekend please 🙂
*Bags during the week, family life during the weekend hahaha– we gotta rest the bag obsession once in awhile!*

A few weeks ago, someone offered Jack Russell puppies to my DH, who in turn offered them to me. We already have an adult Jack Russell Terrier named Elvis. He’s been with us since before any of my kids were born.

We actually had 2 before. One female was named Kelly, but since it’s in the nature of Jack Russell Terriers to hunt, Kelly loved to dig for frogs in the garden. Until it bit her and sadly, she passed on 🙁

Elvis on the other hand, is not too keen on digging for frogs. He does love to chase cats though.  It’s part of his daily exercise. I think the stray cats in our neighborhood avoid our house because of Elvis

*hahaha*. So, we don’t have cat poop in our garden 🙂

Anyway, a few days ago, I found out that my DKs’ pediatrician, the very kind Dr. Aye Nuguid, lost his house and 2 of his dogs to the fire that robbed him of a good Christmas. As he was I’m sure, traumatized by this event, so was his beagle Lucas. I figured at that point that I’ll give him the Jack Russell Terrier puppy that my DH was telling me about, since it would probably make him and his  beagle happier 🙂 *hehehehe puppies “terrorize” (in a very good way hahaha) the lives of adults *I had a ball with Elvis when he was just a pup hahahaha*, and hehehehe,  we figured our pediatrician will need some cute lil’ terror in his life too :)*

So we decided to pick up this CUTE *super adorrrraaaaablllllle* pup (which the owner’s son named Stitch) this afternoon. We renamed Stitch “Puppy” 😀 (Hehehe the more generic the better, since he won’t be ours… or I’ll get real attached and start crying… seriously! Hahaha!)

When we came home with Puppy, Elvis just sniffed, sniffed, and sniffed him.

I initially thought Elvis would go for the kill (since he runs after cats and our neighbors’ dogs), but with Puppy, he was quite nice– even allowing Puppy to drink from his water bowl. *awwww*
Elvis had somehow grown fond of Puppy even if he’d just met Puppy 🙂  My DKs had wanted a puppy, but I didn’t think it was the right time (one of them has serious allergies, which is also why Elvis is an outdoor dog most of the time– though he comes into our house during dinner time hahahaha).
Anyway, came nighttime, I had to let Dr. Nuguid know that Puppy was already with us so he can take him home to see his beagle, Lucas 🙂
10pm came and Dr. Nuguid came by to take Puppy home. He decided to rename Puppy, and name him after my DK *hahahaha* 🙂
At the good doctor’s place, Puppy seems to be doing well with Lucas 🙂

(thanks for sending MMS photos of them both, Dr. N! They’re ADORABLE!!)

He’ll always be Puppy to us 🙂 Dr. Nuguid, if you’re reading this blog, please send me photos of Puppy every so often 🙂 We’d love to see how the lil dude is doing 🙂 And thank you so much for giving Puppy a new, warm, and loving home 🙂 🙂
