Paris Fashion Week: Ines de la Fressange, FW 2017

Ines de la Fressange is one of my favorite people whom I had the privilege to meet in Paris. Throughout the years, it was not just her style that I admired, but also her demeanor and overall outlook on life. She has always exuded a very positive vibe, and it is so easy to see why everyone would be so drawn to her. So when she began showing during Paris fashion week, I couldn’t not go. Seeing the collection carefully curated and designed by a woman who is celebrated for her style is certainly not to be missed.

In this fashion period of “more is more” and the “Guccification” of even accessories, Ines’ Le Flaneur saddle bag is really a refreshing and welcome change. This style is something that will last not just for 3 seasons, but for years and years to come. In fact, the Le Flaneur bag will just get better over time.

The Le Flaneur saddle bag will come in pink suede this coming September!

A big tote is also an integral piece in every woman’s bag collection, and Ines has a nondescript, and easy to carry one– no embellishments, just a well- constructed basic tote that goes with everything casual and easy in your wardrobe.

I love this! Remember the Cambridge Satchel craze of yesteryears? Ines brings it back! And it looks fantastic with everything in her apparel collection! Note the personalization too on the bag 🙂

Then there is a classic bag shape called Le Fidele. The clasp on the exterior pocket is Ines’ signature hardware, also seen in her earrings 🙂 The Le Fidele bag comes with a shoulder strap (a staple nowadays with all bags), allowing for hands- free carry should you need to carry other things.

Again, Ines’ style has always been about knowing how to cleverly mix of classic with a subtle quirks.

Hoodies! Ines has hoodies now! Hoodies have never become this chic!  This is a serious NEED, to wear on those “off” days.

This is one of the most well- executed demi- tux ruffle shirt I have seen. I love the ruffle collar detail as well, and would love to buy this piece when it is stocked in her shop in Paris.

Luggage tags and small accessories to accompany your bag 🙂 Note the ornate jacquard and printed flap clutch bags as well.

Oh and I apparently failed to take a photo of the boots which were made of the same jacquard fabric as those court shoes and clutch. I wanted to wear those boots with my most ratty old pair of jeans for a cool fashion juxtaposition and mix 🙂

What a pleasant afternoon it was to have seen the collection of a woman whose style has been long revered by so many! Oh for those who can’t come over to Paris for her collection, a selection is also available online on www.inesdelafressange.fr  Oh and one of the good things about her collection is this– her prices are very reasonable and attainable! So peeps, shop away! 🙂
