New Obsession: TKEES

I’ve been living on heels for 3 years or so. Perhaps even longer. It’s just that 3 years ago, I discovered 5 (and up) inch heels– and never looked back. Problem is, it’s only recently that I’ve begun to feel the after- effects of having worn heels that high for long periods of time. I’m no podiatrist but I do know that I feel pain in my feet much more than I used to. If you wear heels too long, you also end up with  unsightly veins on your legs. So I was told that as much as I can, I need to rest my feet, put away those sky high heels, and wear flats because I’ve been on “height extenders” far too long lol.

Rubber flip flops were the immediate alternative but sometimes they look way too casual. And then I saw these very delicate slippers on well- shod celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Blake Lively, Heidi Klum, Jessica Alba, January Jones, and Lauren Conrad among others.

These slippers were made by TKEES. And they’re the flip flops of choice by “off- duty” celebrities. I was sold 😉

The Flat Shop Philippines (in Greenhills: G/F Connecticut Arcade, Greenhills Shopping Center *beside Yellow Cab* and in Glorietta 3) is the exclusive distributor of TKEES

and I had a chance to visit them over the weekend.  They had all these colors and shades of TKEES available:

The nude (foundation) shades are super popular because they blend right in with your skin tone.

I also singled out the real funky colors– because I’m pretty notorious for color blocking and these shades are perfect for it!

Also great colors especially since we all have less than 2 months before summer officially begins in Asia 🙂 TKEES are extremely comfortable so they are now my default “soles providers” during weekend jaunts with the kids.

I did a bit more research into these slippers and saw all these colors. I was bowled over!!

TKEES were really designed as cosmetics for your feet because they come in all colors imaginable. I’m going back to The Flat Shop next week to check out what new colors they get.  Now all I need is a really good pedicure and I can live in my TKEES 😉 I was definitely convinced– I had a pair which I wore throughout my long haul flights and during my most recent trip as I walked around the city for hours– they were real light on the feet (like walking on air) and are easy to pack and very comfortable.  Try them out if you haven’t already.

TKEES is available at The Flat Shop. Check out their Facebook Page for more details on their boutiques and give your feet the rest they need 😉
