Mrs.T = school principal??

Ok, I know what you’re thinking after you saw the title– Mrs.T was offered a job as a school principal despite having ZERO credentials to be an educator hahaha. First off, I think it’s a seriously prestigious job to hold, however if you have frequented this blog and read through its content, you would’ve already presupposed that the writer (aka Moi) 1. is not very disciplined, 2. does not really have much inside her noggin, 3. full of useless crap (see, even with words, I get wordy!! *Tsk*).

Sooo, the chances of ME being offered a job as a school principal is well, ZERO, ZILCH, NEIN, NADA. But why the title, you ask? You know why this blog exists right? 1. To ogle and drool over nice bags, 2. To talk about the “steals” of online bag shopping, 3. To dissect the wonderful science of food *ok that was a mouthful and didn’t really make sense, did it?*, 4. For baghags and peeps to take potshots at me *muwahaha don’t you just looove making fun of me? hehehe*, and of course, the most important of all, 5. For me to harp, biatch, and moan about someone or more often, about something. *Muwahahaha do remember that you’re reading the socialclimbing biatch’s blog!!*

Now, here’s the reason why I am equated with school principal. This morning, I went about my business at the bank (yes, I had to pay off mountains and mountains of credit card debt today *boohoooooo*). Then I ran into an old acquaintance. I won’t mention who though, coz she might be a webmonkey and might end up reading this page *muwahaha and she’ll kick my bootie for writing about this hahaha*. Anyway, I haven’t seen her in what, 7 years? Sooo she came up to me and said hello, and we sorta got all giddy with catching up and what not.

Then she takes a good look at me (and presumably at my look– wet hair- in- a- bun and all) and said, “Oh, you’re so cute, you kinda look like a school principal!”. I nearly choked. WHA?!?! School principal? Ok, pictures of a very stern, frowning, hair-in-a-very-tight bun, wooden ruler- in- one hand, woman in D&D (no it wasn’t a typo that could’ve read D&G for Dolce & Gabbana… D&D is for dowdy and dreary haha) school uniform entered my mind (for the Pinoy hags reading this blog, think Miss Tapia hahaha…). Then I thought to myself, “What on earth did I walk out of the house in today?!?!” Instead of looking upset and baffled at the verbal diarrhea (well I’ve had my share of verbal diarrhea too hehehe.. I don’t think anyone’s THAT diplomatic hahaha), I just smiled back and said, “I can’t pull off bright outfits coz I’m not as pretty as you are.” (She was wearing an orange shirt with jeans and a carrying a nice black LV epi Speedy and well, she does have flawless skin *obviously I don’t! Acne farm, helloooo*) Then I remembered that this old acquaintance of mine used to see me wearing aqua pants, red pants… all those colorful and rather heinous *think bright print* pants. Hehehe now THAT “bright” thought sent shivers down my spine hahaha. Can’t blame the lady for thinking I look D&D now… *SOB* am I already reaching that age where I’m actually beginning to dress… “older”? *Wails… I’m in denial hahaha*

Ok, for those who can’t seem to imagine me looking like a school principal, this was how I looked today.(I had to strike a pose… *Feeling model sexy… looking anything but haha*)

Let me borrow the “template” of that highly successful website, Steal That Look, of which PamB is the editor (Humor me for a bit here, Pam :D) To get my “school principal look”, here is the equation *muwahahaha*.

Outfit:
White shirt (no brand) from Hong Kong, Gray below-the-knee skirt by Vado (Puey Quinones) *which I bought 3 years ago at Crossings and am still looooving by the way*

Accessories: Pompom polka dot slides by Tinsley at Tresorie, Cute Grape Broach as an accent piece for my belt (to break the “black”) by D! Luxe at Tresorie, Rattle ring by Janina for Jul Dizon, Royal blue galuchat band with initial by Janina for Jul Dizon, Enamel pendant necklace by Daphne Oseña Paez. Oh and I also wore my pearl earrings from Greenhills 🙂 *ya gotta love Greenhills for those pearls!*

Oh and yeah, my hair WAS in a tight bun *Muwahahaha* (thereby completing the look!!)

So tell me, do you like my “school principal” look? I’m actually seriously considering this look to be my “uniform” now. And although I might do plenty injustice to the wonderful school principals out there, I’d actually love to agree with peeps when they mistake my profession for that of a school principal 🙂 It’s a friggin’ decent job (instead of just being a wannabe socialclimbing taitai)!! At least now I *cough* “have” a respectable profession hahaha. *Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be mistaken for a principal, but wheee I guess there’s a first for everything hahaha. What a welcome change… gawd, at least I didn’t look like a two-bit sleazebag today hahaha*

WOohooO!! Mrs.T= socialclimbing baghag, blogger, occasional journalist, wannabe school principal!! I’m seriously climbing up the “profession” ladder! 🙂 🙂

Now if only to find the perfect bag for the outfit. Here are my bag choices to accompany my outfit (so I will be branded as a “chic and modern” and not D&D school principal 😉 *woohoo HOT hahaha*

Marc by Marc Jacobs all dots tote.A “strict-in-nature” kinda profession balances out this almost psychedelic dotted tote 🙂 It’s priced at £135 at harveynichols.com

OR, what about this Zagliani Large Puffy silver tote? You may look conservative (eyy and classy!! hehehe), but you are definitely NOT an uptight stiff 🙂 *It works for me!* Priced at £1,575 at harveynichols.com

Alrighty, enough action for one day. I need early shuteye for reasons that this baghag’s getting old and getting tired faster hehehe…

Your blog’s principal (for now anyway haha),
Mrs.T 🙂

  1. LOOOOVE your outfit, Mrs. T! Hm, “school principal” wasn’t quite what I had in mind…it looks more like an updated version of Audrey Hepburn’s outfit in “Roman Holiday”(those Tinsley slides are pretty darn cute!)

  2. dear head mistress (mrs. t!)

not exactly miss tapia but if you were a glam head mistress of some prep school where creatures from gossip girl & cruel intentions live move and have their being then why not di ba? medyo conservative ang length ng skirt.

  3. In my opinion, you looked mighty chic! Love the accessories, love the slides, love that black belt thingy (not sure what it is but i love it)… i thought it looked great. What bag were you using? 🙂 I love bags too and thanks to your site i have a better appreciation for them. And you are so right when you said that once you buy that first Pandora bag (in my case the LV Speedy), it creates an avalanche effect!!! My Speedy was promptly followed by a red LV Lockit in Epi leather (thanks to my wonderful hubby who gave it to me for christmas). And i can tell you right now… i am so not stopping there haha. Keep up the blog – i love it. I love how you talk about food too and take photos of them – always makes me hungry!

  4. I like your outfit – very elegant. Different from the shirt and shorts combo I saw in your post before, but elegant nonetheless.

Maybe the school principal comment came from the pearl earrings with the black-and-white clothes? Anyway, if you were a school principal, you’d me a very chic school principal. 😉

Oh, and by the way, I prefer the Marc Jacobs bag to go with your outfit. Fun and interesting and goes with your royal blue band. Silver may too flashy for a school principal. You might be reprimanded by the school board. 😉

    SGS

  5. ITS ACTUALLY QUITE REFRESHING TO LOOK AT 😉 DONT LISTEN TO YOUR FRIENDS’ COMMENTS ALL THE TIME. SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOTTA FOLLOW THAT PASSION INSIDE OF YOU, WINKS! 😉

PS – PLUS ITS BORING TO SEE A GRP OF GF’s LOOKING ALL THE SAME IN SIMILAR OUTFITS…

  6. Waaaaaaaaah I am loving this… you hags sure know how to make a school principal feel good 😉 hehe.. I’m definitely not retiring that outfit.

anon: I am already loving that idea of me dressed as a “headmistress” of some prep school hahahaha!!

sgs: I totally agree that the blue Marc bag completely balances the look 🙂

rhee: I carried a Hermes birkin 🙂 (hahahaha ok so I *tried* to channel classic chic that day and just ended up being school principal hahahaha)

min: so you mean I should dress more like a school principal? hahaha 🙂

j0s1e267: thank you thank you, I felt like I was fishing for compliments when I posted that hahaha… but in fairness, I did love my look despite the comment I got hahaha. (Made me look like a *cough* rich principal even though clearly my wallet and financials declare otherwise hahahaah)

mg: Lady you know how to make a principal feel good. Roman Holiday? WOOHOO!! Now I should go and watch that again and make sure I get my outfit right this time hahaha 😉

MPR: Haha I need a whip to complete the look, don’t I? 😀

dac: sgs was right, maybe it was because of the pearl earrings and the gray/white/black outfit (as opposed to my older outfits that were totally bright– stuff that she was used to seeing me in :D)

  7. hello! where in greenhills can we buy south sea pearls. i know there are alot of sellers but we’re afraid to just buy from any of them. thanks
