Tod’s had a most impressive showing of their SS2014 collection– and at that day’s show, there were a few firsts. First, this Spring Summer 2014 is the first collection of creative director Alessandra Facchinetti (who left her post at Pinko for one of my favorite Italian bag brands), and second, Tod’s usually has presentations each season but this was the first time they ever had a show. And both firsts were a resounding success.
The collection was very well celebrated by everyone– the shirts, skirts, belts, and the bags were all given the seals of approval by the fashion cognoscenti. Here are some of the shots from the re-see, to give you all a clearer picture of the bags and the shoes. I will be uploading photos from the show in a separate post 🙂
Alessandra Facchinetti is definitely the perfect fit for Tod’s!
The new D Cube! It comes in 3 sizes. And of course in exotic skins too if you want to go uber luxe. I find the periwinkle/lilac one with gray very, very appealing! That baby D Cube is just too precious!!
The Sella bag in different sizes, color combinations, as well as with different embellishments/ embroidery
I am loving these fringed gommini. The belt buckle on the sides add a nice detail. They are so pretty up close. And we all know how comfortable these shoes are!
The embellished Sella bags
Facchinetti also designed some fringe heeled sandals
The fringed Sella bag. Fringe seems to be a popular style for Spring Summer 2014. And there are criss-cross strapped ballet flat- gommini too!
Facchinetti worked with neutral palettes as well for Spring Summer 2014.
Such a beautiful collection– I especially loved the belts and those leather laser-cut skirts! More details on the apparel soon!
Which bag/s are you loving? 🙂
