During Milan Fashion Week last season, I was unable to drop by Agnona’s pop up store, the brand which launched its first collection under the creative direction of Stefano Pilati. This season however, I made sure to drop by– because I missed quite a bit the last time (SS2014).
Apart from the beautiful apparel collection for FW 2014-15 which consisted of classic shapes that had “waves” of color injected into them, the bags were noteworthy.
This classic “bugatti” shaped bag has impressive functions– the outer zipper reveals yet another zipper inside which expands the bag. And secures it twice 😉
There is also a push lock on the exterior zipper pull. Interesting added security feature 🙂 *It’s like the Brinks of bags!*
What’s actually really nice about the bag above is, those shoulder straps that extend to the body of the bag actually serve a purpose– you can actually insert a thin magazine or a newspaper in between! I think it’s a brilliant work bag! And if this were ever produced in bright colors *to make the bag look “less formal”, you can also use this as a weekend travel bag !
There are also these square bags made from goat (chevre) leather and are reflective of the FW2014 collection of the brand.
I prefer this turquoise blue color (but then I’m very partial to blue– but you probably already know that haha)
The best thing about the bag above– the leather. I love chevre leather because it is very light and is scratch- resistant. It makes for a good everyday wear-and-tear/ rough-and-tumble bag. Plus those dual colors make the bag easier to match and give your outfit “life” should you choose to carry the bag while wearing something more somber- colored.
Have a great Saturday, everyone! I am going to enjoy this weekend by indulging in some serious R&R– and I hope you allow yourself that too!! 🙂
