MFW: Versace SS 2012, A Sea of Beauty!

Today was my first official day in Paris and wow I am actually energized! I actually gave serious thought to going to a party last night but had whatever good health sense in me to say no and choose sleep. So yes, today, I woke up feeling spic and span new, after having slept over 10 hours *10 hours of sleep is a MAJOR luxury I normally can’t afford!*.
Unfortunately though, I ended up missing one show this morning, but the good news is I made it to my first official show, Guy Laroche after rushing like crazy and getting antsy inside the taxi because the traffic was just as usual, bad!
Anyway let me take this opportunity now to show some of my favorite images from Versace since I realized I only uploaded a video for you then and not show the detailed photos!

The inspiration? The Sea!

So rockin’ the seahorse studded skirt!

I really love the cut of those shorts!

Beautiful prints! This is what Versace is really known for when I first got to know the brand.

Beautiful printed ensemble!

The studded waistband is really a nice addition

Seashells against the signature Greek keys chain strap

The Versace look

Lime green pleats with a lavender studded bag. Nice play on these colors!

Yellow, so warm and so rich! Loving the mixed textures of the dress– the placing of the studs and of micro pleats makes this a winner!

And then there were the gorgeous red carpet looks:

The details on this gown are remarkable!

I like this– I’d wear it in a heartbeat 🙂

Donatella’s piece de resistance:

And the designer takes her bow to an audience who gave her a thunderous applause for the collection!

Gosh you guys have no idea how hard it is to edit and select photos for the blog, so for sure you will see a few more posts on Milan Fashion Week which will contain a few more *ok a lot more* of my favorite images, including photos of friends and industry colleagues with whom I’m just so happy to be reunited 🙂
