MFW SS 2013: Dolce & Gabbana- A Sicilian Spring- Summer

Dolce & Gabbana really know what works best for their brand and it is looking into their native Italy– Sicily to be exact, that they took inspiration in working on their SS 2013 collection. It’s a very festive collection and is as expected 🙂

Again, colorful prints, festive in time for Spring and for the celebration of Summer, dominated the runway. What is interesting to note is that they have stuck to the same silhouettes– silhouettes that have continued to flatter and please the Dolce & Gabbana woman. Some bags were made from raffia, giving them a very summery feel– the perfect bag for the beach or for a sail!

And then there were prints on bags. Dolce & Gabbana are incredible with this.

I do love the shoes– a lot!

The latter part of the show had models in wicker bone- corsets which culminated in a corset crinoline with a black tulle overlay.

Show over, Tina, Catherine, and I walked out of Metropole to head over to another presentation when we were shortly joined by Eleonora and this was what we ended up looking like 🙂 I am still celebrating the duo’s FW 2012- 13 collection by the way (as it was my favorite for last season)!

Please view photos in the gallery for the details.  I truly love the collection– and like last season’s, Dolce & Gabbana has captured the real essence of a Sicilian summer.
